Well I suppose as I came on before the game I had better show my face after it. Absolutely gutted. Fans turned up unfortunately the team didn't. We were crap, can't even remember us having a shot worth mentioning. Can't bring myself to well done or good luck in next round obviously
As usual the match got in the way of a good day lol. I ended up having to go to bleedin London in the morning for work and travelling up to match from there, bit of a nightmare but at least I had time for a few jars in various boozers in town including Nags Head and Dun Cow. Quality and quantity of the ale softened the blow of our lifeless, boring and predictable performance. Good atmosphere and good banter. Having your singers in that corner next to away end really helps create an atmosphere, wish we were allowed to do the same at our place! For the old gits among you back in the good old days at Fellows Park before we moved to the Biscuit Tin we used to change at half time so we were behind the Hilary Street End when kicking that way and along the side right next to the away fans when we kicked towards the railway end. Many things have improved in football in recent years but atmosphere at most grounds has gone downhill badly.
I had a bad feeling about last night once I heard Bradshaw was out, we are so toothless without him. It says a lot about the frail nature of our squad if a player like Bradshaw, who is a good player at this level but by no means top draw, is so important to us. The fat, useless, overweight, unfit, lazy waste of space Manset should be shot, we were playing with ten men even before we went down to 10 men. Though admittedly he got no service or support. Once Ashley Grimes came on, give me strength I can't even put it into words. Amazingly our manager Dean Smith, who has done a lot of good things in his time with us, called Ashley Grimes the most lethal finisher he had ever worked with. The bloke has scored about twice in the last 5 years
Anyway sod off you lot, sick of you all. Still looking forward to next time we meet
At least our national team won against the jocks. Good draw for your lot in Belgium as well
BTW hope bloke who was stretchered away is ok. UTS
