In addition to a 50/50 share of the net gate receipts over the 2 games we will also have pocketed £18k from the FA's Prize Fund for winning our first round tie last night. All comes in handy should MM want to boost his squad come January.

I think the FA also get a cut and it could be 33/33/33 split.

From the FA site:
In matches prior to the Third Round of the Competition Proper (other than replayed matches in the Competition Proper), the net gate receipts of each match shall be divided equally between the competing Clubs.
The net gate receipts due from a match (except replayed matches in consequence of a breach of the Rules) shall be the total ticket sales for the match less VAT, the travelling (and possibly accommodation) expenses of the Visiting Club, the fees and expenses of the Match Officials, and other match expenses allowed under the Competition Rules (which include costs relating to gate attendants, turnstile operators, stewards, police charges, floodlighting in accordance with the Competition Rules, contributions to the costs of First Aid Helpers and any costs relating to clearing the ground of snow and water provided the Visiting Club is consulted beforehand on the approximate costs). Any shortfalls in receipts are the responsibility of the home club and are not to be shared.

Is the prize money rolled over, ie would we get £18k for winning the first round and then another £27k if we were to get past Preston and so on. Get past round 3 and we might be able to afford to buy Bradshaw and Eaves in the January window

I always assumed it was a rolling thing. Win the 4th qualifying round, 12 and a half grand, then the next Juan is 18 grand, not both, plus of course, a share of the gate. I think that's how it works.
