Totally agree. He is class and we will do well to keep him.

We won't keep him, it is about getting as much money as we can for him.

He certainly did not look out of place amongst the Chelsea midfield stars. Wolves may need to add a nought to their bid now.

We won't keep him, it is about getting as much money as we can for him. Quite right ,that is the sad fact of the matter . In the meantime I am going to just enjoy watching him play for us for however long that is.

Selling our best young players for decent money is progress IMO not a disaster.

Phil Brown on 5 Live reckoned he was now in the 'few million' bracket.
Don't think our Connor did himself any harm eithe.

Always rated Woodsie, and to see him dummy and nutmeg the mutli-million pound players, well...just sweet.
Well done ginge.

Once again an outstanding performance from Woods. Many thanks to Walsall for dumping him for being too small .

My 8 year old lad's comment tonight, " dad, did you see that, Woodsie skinned Oscar......again"
Pure class tonight from Woodsy and all the lads.

Phil Brown on 5 Live reckoned he was now in the 'few million' bracket. He compared him to Scholes as well. He looks a bit like a younger version.

Right at the end he crossed to Akpro with the outside of his foot.
I mean, when did a Salop player ever cross with the outside of his foot?

At the start of the season I felt that physicality was something Ryan Woods lacked. He is now an example of what a midfielder should be. Creative, tough and technically gifted. I for one hope he can stay, but he is set bigger things.

20 years old, first season playing centre midfield at senior level, it's unbelievable stuff.
He is destined for bigger things but what's an acceptable offer? Isn't he out of contract in the summer too?
He is sheer class, an absolute pleasure to watch and shows our academy must be doing something right to produce the likes of Woods,Goldson,Taylor and Bradshaw.
The way a club like ours needs to operate is bring through young, quality players and sell them for big money.
Taylor went for 400-500k and we invested it into more quality players.
Quadruple his wages, get an extra year or two on his contract and say we won't stand in his way if a club comes in for him like we did with Taylor and Peterborough.

400k altogether is what I've been told.
Posh do like to spend cash on young attackers so it wouldn't surprise me if it was near that figure, especially with a number of clubs interested.

Mourinho must have been impressed with Woods. He didn't look out of place at all and played with real confidence and ability.Although Wesalowski was also a loss, I thought Lawrence was excellent too and the defence dealt with most of what was thrown at them.
A very proud Salopian.

Anyone who went to Peterborough away last season may recall a stellar midfield performance from Woodsie when he was switched from right back in the second half. We knew then that we had a decent prospect in our midst.

I'd been enthusing about Woods to my Premiership supporting friends and so was hoping he'd play well.
I can't remember him being caught in possession or misplacing a pass, a near perfect display.
As for him being too small, it was Drogba who ended up on his knees after their tussle.

A very proud Salopian. You can take it from me he was. I was sitting right behind him and although for most of the time he remained fairly expressionless he did react when Woods was beating his players.
