Couldn't agree more. A massive well done to those supporters that made the noise tonight as well as the team. As an exile watching on tv with non-town supporting mates, the whole game made me proud of our club for the first time in a very, very long time.

Very, very proud of the club. The lads played really well and showed great organisation, discipline and the ability to play modern, progressive football. The Sky commentary was very complimentary throughout the game and I think anyone watching will have been impressed by our performance. Woods has surely added £££ to his value with that performance, Jermaine and Connor too. Oh, and a full GM looks great on the TV. Get us up to the top end of L1 or even into the Championship, get those corners filled and pack the place!

We've come a long way since April . Cannot fault the way the club has gone about things since then . Great effort tonight .

Fantastic effort tonight and was pleased we had a go at Chelsea and gave them a game. Everyone can hold their heads up high and be proud. This club is definitely heading in the right direction again.

My lad at Reading uni tonight said 4 town fans plus friends where watching the game and one Chelsea fan. When Town scored the whole room erupted and by the end every one was on towns side. That's pride.

Forgive me for being soft but was close to tears at 1-1. Great shift.
So proud of the club and MM. Looking forward to watching us a D&R!

Felt proud that we decided to take Chelsea on by playing our way with the ball on the deck.
When Mangan put that ball in the net it was just brilliant.
Had a few texts off friends from around the country just along the lines of "no shame in that result, your team played some very very good stuff"
A few select tweets:
@joey7barton: Good showing from @shrewsweb tonight. Delighted for Mickey Mellon and Andy Mangan. Whole club should be proud. Gave a top side a real fright
@rorysmithtimes: Hugely impressed - at the risk of being patronising - by Shrewsbury. Woods doesn't look a L2 player. They don't look a L2 team.
@themichaelowen: Wasn't too impressed with Chelsea tonight. Shrewsbury contributed to them looking pretty ordinary.
@henrywinter: Ryan Woods has just muscled Didier Drogba off the ball. Been excellent. #salop midfielder quite a prospect.

Just got back from the game and just wanted to say well done on your performance. You played better than most sides we've faced this season and will do a better job than QPR on Saturday! The atmosphere was good and we all enjoyed the trip.
All the best in league 2 and hope to play you again soon

Been increasingly proud of this team all season and absolutely full of it tonight. Fantastic effort from everyone and a great night, despite the loss.
We had our moment there, with Mangan's goal ... that'll be a treasured memory.
Onwards - back to the league and keep the momentum going. Maybe start off another great cup run at Walsall too.

They gave everything they had and you can't ask for more than that. Drogba may have been picking up the Man of the Match plaudits with the pundits but I felt Woods was absolutely outstanding.

I recall walking out of the Meadow after the FA Cup match in 2003 feeling gutted, not because we had lost but because of how we had lost. Last night was a totally different kettle of fish. I loved the way we set up, liked a lot of the stuff we tried to do and the fact that two home grown players had such excellent games.
Thanks Mickey for putting the smiles back on our faces. Now go on and complete the tough task of getting us back up into League 1.

It was a magnificent effort last night. I feel very proud.
As I type this I still have a big smile on my face and well I'm also close to tears thinking about how MM, the team and the supporters made it such a great night.

I expected to enjoy the build-up to last night's match a lot more than most of the actual game itself, which I was expecting to be a fairly pedestrian affair.
I couldn't have been more wrong - the team were absolutely brilliant and played their part in a cracking cup tie. The club as a whole also staged a great event that went off without a hitch. A big well done all round.

In the build up I was looking forward to seeing how some of our youngsters would cope against the best. Boy did they cope! So proud of everything about our club last night and Ryan and Connor put a fair few quid on their price tag
