Great strides made from around 20 years ago when you used to look forward to Town away games as the home programmes were pretty dire. Well done all.

A big well done to the club. The award doesn't surprise me, it's been first class for a number of years now.

Has anyone had a look at the standard of proof reading? Every single programme is littered with errors.
Don't take my word for it. Just take a close examination of all of this season's programmes and you'll soon see my point.
I'll identify a few examples, but can assure you that every programme has its mistakes.:-
Carlisle programme - Jimmy Glass is given Peter Beardsley's write up. - Accrington (should have been Carlisle!) has brought in twelve new players this summer. - the rest of page 18 has both spelling and syntax errors.
Cheltenham programme - Full details of our away trip to Dagenham and Redbridge were included. The problem was that our next away trip was to York, which got no mention whatsoever. Then the exact same details of the Dagenham trip were reprinted in the Bury programme.
Bury programme - In the fixtures and results section the've stopped informing us as to who scored our goals. The last one mentioned is Mangan's at Leicester. And unlike a fair number of other clubs, we don't provide details as to when our players have received yellow or red cards.
As I've indicated on another thread, devoting 4 pages to the opposition's ex managers and ex players whilst giving us one page of information on only FOUR of the opposition's players leaves me very short of facts when watching the game.
Plus the removal of Chris Skitt's page leaves me second guessing as to the injury situation. For example, what's been wrong with Robinson?

"Stats pages very easy to read and straightforward"..well, they aren't very easy to read if you are looking for goalscorers or yellow/red cards.
"Opposition feature was great and introduced the opposition very well" ..if colour photos and information on precisely four current players is introducing the opposition very well then their interpretation of what is great is definitely different from mine.

Well done to the club. Overall an excellent programme and whilst some minor tweaks would be welcome (I agree on detail given on opposition squad players) it's a strong programme, especially compared to others in League Two.

It is a good programme and deserves its accolades. However, I have to agree with northwestman that the proof reading appears to be either non existent or sloppy in the extreme. Those of us who know our Shrewsbury can spot errors at a distance!!! I suppose if the judges are looking at the general content it is a good programme.
So for me, well done and heartiest congratulations to all concerned but there is some room for improvement with the proof reading.

It's in hand now They have a new member of the spelling police on board , Chelsea programme checked off this morning and I'd make sure you have the money ready for one as it's an even bigger issue than usual. Worth the money alone for a fantastic interview with Pat Nevin.

Even old AJ is going to order a couple of Chelsea Progs. for posterity. not worried about occasional lack of proof reading, adds to the mystery and value.

Haven't bought one for a few seasons now. What are we really told in them? only what the club wants us to know. And if i wanted a cookery lesson i'd buy a book!!

Excellent programme but I also have mentioned in another place about the lack of detail concerning opposition players. Also in the Cheltenham programme concerning players who had previously played for us---no mention of Matt Richards, only Asa Hall and Terry Gornell.

Well it is the club's programme, not a fanzine. Would you expect a club's programme to tell you something it didn't want you to know!? Cookery lessons? That's so last season.
