What dominance tonight!!! An awesome result and that goal from Clarke was brilliant! Not just the finish, the chip pass too...

Message for Bury number 34, Pablo Mills, (I hope this reaches him in time),
Weight Watchers no longer meet at the Greenhous Meadow.

Interesting comments from their Capt - 'so called good players that have been brought into the cub, that can operate higher than this level, apparently, didn't do it tonight' ... Harmonious times at berry.

Interesting to hear him talk about Bury's "so called better players" not turning up tonight. Sounds like there might be a bit of friction in their side - always good to hear about at a rival side!

Weight Watchers no longer meet at the Greenhous Meadow. I did wonder what the Japanese whaling fleet were doing steaming up the Severn... Fond memories of Matt Redmile.

Very honest appraisal from the Bury skipper. Bury well and truely had their pants pulled down and for him to acknowledge their fans in that manner deserves credit.

I missed all 3 Shon Looy goals, as I was looking over the bar at the time.

Great performance from the lads, but I thought Bury were a poor team. The defence made me look quick and I would have thought their manager would have changed their formation as they tried to match our 352. Their back three just could not cope with JLAA and Collo and our midfield's endeavour to chase down the ball and put the opposition under pressure certainly created openings for us. In all a very entertaining night.

It must be tough when you've just got tonked and someone puts a microphone in front of your nose and demands a response.
Good, self effacing interview.

Bury were a complete bloody shambles tonight, but we didn't half punish them well.
They're probably the first side I've seen in the league who came here looking set up to have a real go, rather than sitting deep and trying to counterpunch. It's fair to say that after news of tonight's result gets out, we'll be destined to see plenty more of the latter!

I thought that Bury kept possession well, without hurting us. You could see that, in patches, they showed that they could play. They are not the worst side seen down the Meadow so far this season. I think we should give our team tremendous credit for tonight's performance, and MM for the way he set the team up. Apart from scoring goals, our work rate was terrific, and with Grant getting fitter, we are looking a very good side. Hopefully the gate Saturday will be swelled by those hoping to see repeat performance?
Ellis, Griffith, Mangan, Lawrence, Vernon, plus others, all pushing hard for a place means !.........glad I,m not MM.

Interesting to hear they've been struggling away from home as well but even so very encouraging how some of the best teams in the league have now been seen off at home. Bury, Luton and Cheltenham I'd expect to be up there at the end of the season but have come to the Meadow and been made to look distinctly average. At the same time I suppose Stevenage and Hartlepool fans would say the same about us. Supremely confident in our home form just hope we can continue now to pick up points on the road. Bold claim in MM's post match interview "I am telling you now, any side that finished above Bury will win the league." www.shrewsburytown.com/news/article/21oct14-micky-delighted-after-win-over-bury-2031035.aspx#KB0WeYsACP47iaUe.99

Terrific stuff from the lads and very well done to Mellon. He said somebody would get a pasting sooner or later and wonderful that it happens to a promotion favourite.
Let's not get too carried away like they did. Lots of hard work to do yet and we now have start replicating performances like this away. I

I'm a bit old fashioned but I like seeing the players wearing there matching suits this season!
Graham always looked good in a suit!
Never understood managers wearing training gear and boots! Things would have to be bad for the manager to come on..

A very emphatic performance against what I thought looked a dis-heartened Bury side, the last performance I can recall like that from an opposition was Coventry who were in chaos on and off the pitch at the time.
Credit must go to us of course, for the first time this season we started well but what impressed me was the hunger even when 5-0 up (unlike the Accy game where we took the foot off the pedal), I think everyone knew this was an important game and wanted to punish Bury.

Behind the goals view of the game.
Three shots from right hand post (goalie view) to left hand corner and two headers at right hand post. Has the match analyst worked out a weakness before the game? How easy was JLAA s header, completely unmarked!

Our lads were absolute quality the way they pulled away from their defenders. Fantastic stuff. You could feel the buzz in the crowd.

Yes the movement for all the goals was good... but the 5th goal was sublime. The runs from inside our own half, the vision to spot the runs, the accuracy of the passing, the little right foot dink from Woods, and the control, turn and powerful finish from JC would have graced any game... anywhere.
There is so much competition for places, but I would love to see Clark getting some gametime every match. His cool head as the minutes ticked away at York, in keeping that rasping drive low for Collins to steer inside the post gave us the three points... when many players would have snatched at it and smashed it over the bar.
There really is good quality in the squad. and if AA can really leap on from last night with goals, then when Mangan is fit, we will be able to have the luxury of strikers who can go hell for leather for 45 minutes and then rotate. And if lady luck is back too, I think the goals will start flowing.
I don't mean that we need luck.. but we don't need bad luck, and I think we have had that in that goal drought. I agree with MM; we have been playing well, even in that bad patch of results, dominating play, having lots of goal efforts.... but didn't get what we deserve. Now we are.

I think the fifth goal is one of the best scored at the new stadium. Superb skill from both Woods (showing he can be a superb attacking creator) and sublime control and finishing from Clark.
