FixturesSome cracking little teams left in. Willand Rovers the lowest ranked left in, from Devon, near Exeter apparently, good luck to them. Witham Town from somewhere in Essex. Burgess Hill Town deepest Sussex. Barwell FC from near Hinckley in Leicestershire.

Wouldn't say that East thurrock is one of the better away days. Will be going there with Dulwich again in a couple of weeks but last year the response of some of their locals in their pubs was interesting. Would like to see their response to a league team turning up. St. Albans however is an amazing ground with some great local pubs.

Fancy a non league club not too far from Salop, Norton United are still in there but the downside is that they are from Stoke! Leek Town would be good, I know they have a massive bank behind one of the goals where you can probably see most if not all of the pitch!

Would have been even better if it was in Worcester, although a visit to Aggborough will be ok!

What! Nobody wants Telford?
Burgess Hill or Whitehawk away would be best for me. For those who don't know, Whitehawk is an area of Brighton with an... er... dubious reputation. I used to work with their center forward a few years ago... a very good looking lad with a shock of long curly blond hair... but tough on the field which probably came from being called Shirley Temple everywhere he went.
Pity that FA Cup legendary side, Marine, aren't still in it.

Bizzylad mentioned Rushden'n'Diamonds; whatever happened to them? Founded with Doc Martens money, they merged two nothing teams, got promotion after promotion until they entered the league, appointed Brian Talbot as their long term manager, and continued to fly right up into the Championship (or League One as it was in 2003). They had a glorious little stadium (google the images of the Nene Stadium) ... and then the bubble burst as the Chairman couldn't sustain the losses and the club fell as quickly as it rose, although not before trouncing us during their journey, although the scoreline which I think was 5-1 was a travesty as we actually played quite well.
Last month the demolition of the Nene Stadium was announced, and this after the club was expelled from the Blue Square and forced into administration a couple of years ago.
But the Phoenix has risen from the Ashes; AFC R&D have been reformed and are now playing in the United Counties Premier League (which I think is about tier 7)... and last Saturday thrashed Desborough Town 5-0 at home... they now play at the wonderfully named... wait for it... " dog and Duck Stadium".
Yes they do use the word "Stadium". I must see if I can find a picture of that.
So watch this space. I can see in the year 2021, the Everton Manager, Wayne Rooney, saying... "yeah... our lads have put in a shift in the last two games and we are pleased with the two points... but we are not relishing a trip to The Dog and Duck stadium on Saturday after they put six past Chelsea last week."

Sadly it won't be Whitehawk. After coming back from 0-2 inside five minutes to draw 4-4 on Saturday with Chelmsford (including a goal from Jake Robinson, his 6th in his last 3 starts), they lost the replay two days later 4-1. So Burgess Hill?
