Judging by the first half performance I think termination is more appropriate.

Judging by the first half performance I think termination is more appropriate. Everyone is allowed the odd off day. Players would be going out of the door every Sunday otherwise. It's called a development squad for a reason, develop yourselves as players, learn to work together, improve, move up. Occasionally we'll unearth a gem like Woods, Goldson or Burton, but for most that play for this squad this will be the peak of their careers, however it will still be higher than most of us could have ever gone. It's a good job that Goldson stayed with us, heaven forbid that he went to Swansea's development squad and had a couple of bad games, otherwise by your criteria he'd have been dumped on the scrapheap.

broke the habit of a lifetime and saw some of this, this afternoon The 2 guys on trial were worse than awful and no surprise they were subbed at half time Robbo worked very hard but played a succession of poor passes Wildig showed only glimpses of the way he can play- Ellis was sound enough Vernon was no more than okay McAllister worked hard to little effect Josh Ginnelly looked as good as anyone, but the truth is Vales reserves looked sharper in every area of the pitch, I must say the game did make me wonder about how much strength in depth we really have Nobody put in a performance that would have encouraged MM to consider starting them on Saturday

Fair point Neil but its also fair to say in my estimation at least 8 of these guys have appeared in the first team this season The young lads by and large were not the problem

I wasn't there so couldn't comment on the team.

Ellis will get back in soon I'm sure and Robinson still has that class to turn a game if he's fit but Wildig, Macallister, Griffiths and Caton are quite a way from any first team action IMO. Very surprised one or more of them haven't followed Smith on loan. Had high hopes for Vernon in pre season but he's not fulfilled those as yet.
