Il be pleasantly surprised if it happens but cant see it happening. For starters Id assume it would only be the corners of the South Stand due to segregation?

Don't the corners have the emergency vehicular access?

The cynic in me says it will be a couple of hundred or so - just enough to get the gate above 10000.

Yeah can only see this happening either end of the South Stand - if it can get past the all powerful Safety Committee that is!!

Whatever the outcome, it is good to see the club is prepared to try something new.

How many tickets do we have to give Chelsea fans as I can only see them bringing 500 to 1000 if on TV. Stick em in block 1 and 2 and open the end to us!

They will sell out their allocation with their floating supporters and probably more in the home ends. Two Chelski supporters at where I work have already said they will try for away tickets and if not get in the home end.

500?! You sure pal? We would sell it out easy and quickly, new ground for the fans to go to, be sold out by season ticket holders quickly... Can't wait!

Whatever the outcome, it is good to see the club is prepared to try something new. Bold statement that considering the only official release has been stating that we have drawn them, a comment by MM and a release stating that as soon as all is confirmed then ticket details will be released. Doubt very much that temp seating would be brought in as it is extremly expensive, and all capacity cals, routes of passage, facility desktops and so on would probably outweigh the income from extra seats being provided.

Sky Sports"We may not get the opportunity again, especially if we don't perform, and as a club we have to make sure we get things right." The club will look into adding temporary seating in the corners of the stadium, which has a capacity of 9,875, and Williams promised they will not price fans out. He added: "We don't want to chase the money. It's important we get it right and all our loyal supporters can watch the game." Still not official, but something that says it's on the cards?

You forget one corner has to be left free so there is space for the cricket score board

With the wind-shield things at the end of the stands restricting the views and limited space anyway I think this will be a non-starter, can only see a very small amount of seats being able to be added.

Great idea by MW. Should quite easily add a couple of thousand to the gate.

As said above, because of the steel side panels at the ends of the stands, the view would be seriously limited for too many seats so sadly I can't see it happening.. would love it though!!

Cost of erecting a temporary stand must be balanced against monies you are able to recoup by selling tkts and decide if it's worth the effort. A time element has to be considered too i.e. we need to know all the other seats are sold before going to the expense of erecting additional temporary seating , so would need to weigh up the feasibility and time parameters of adding extra seats/against time available and contractors availability too!

Even if the extra seats do not pay for themselves , the goodwill generated by allowing some our new found fans to see the game would make it worth while.

In todays Star Matt Williams has said he's got a meeting with a company on Monday to discuss the idea, he has said himself its in the early stages and it may not come off. But its great we have someone who is forward thinking and is at least trying to come up with ideas such as this

Well 2 seasons ago Hereford put in a stand and if they can do it the cost can't be that high surely?
