So it's that time of year again, as silly season ends for 4 months.
Do we think that MM will add any more signings to the squad?
I would still like to see a left footed wide player just to give us another option and some balance and allow Clark to continue in AM position rather than being out on the left.
It would be nice to have the most new signings in league football!

I rather enjoyed being the club with the most signings on bbc sport. Just showed how much we have changed as a whole club from the turner era where we probably had the least permanent signings

Give Ginelly a chance on the left if we get more injuries and want to play wingers again. Or move Demi forward and play Knight Percival to LB.
I don't think we need to sign anyone. If we do in a few weeks then use the dreaded loan market!

I am more relieved that he has ruled out any outgoings and is going to turn his phone off.

I look at every position and we have enough depth.
Loan market can always be used too to top up the squad.
Certainly beats this time last year when we ALL knew we would struggle with the lack of recruitment!

Reading the newspapers this morning and Gary Neville suggested that you can tell how well a club is run club from the amount of business they are involved in on transfer deadline day. So looking good for Town...

I'm happy there's no activity. We're sat pretty in my opinion, which means there's no need to be spam checking the transfer page with the little hope you have left after the last two seasons!

Makes a change not having to be glued to the BBC transfer deadline page!

Makes a change not having to be glued to the BBC transfer deadline page! And that was more in hope more than expectation recently!

Now we just have to give Woods and Clark (I am not sure who else is out of contract) long term deals.

Happy the squads still in tact. Sure clubs will come sniffing by January though, especially if our form carries on.

Did anyone hear Five Live about 9.30?
Reporter was outside a Premier ground (not sure which) when a white Rolls Royce rolled up and parked near the entrance to the ground. Press rushed to it, took pictures only to find too young blonde ladies in there - waiting to go home with someone! Talk about bad timing

How many of these teams will actually be any better than last season?
Players like Kevin Doyle & Shane Long seem to change clubs every few months and between them must have played for almost every lesser Premier League and yoyo club. Niko Kranjcar is one of those players who you can never be sure whether he's playing in this country or abroad but, if he is abroad, you know he'll be back here soon enough. Harry Redknapp endlessly tries to build QPR into Spurs-Lite.
I can never understand why so many deals have to happen at the last minute and clubs put themselves through so much early season disruption.
Very happy that Shrewsbury recruited so well and so early this summer.
