Malky Mackay was in a position where supporters and players look up to him. He is the face of the football club. It is gross misconduct. It's a big difference. He is indefensible. What do you think Craig will make of Malcolm's misdemeanours? CB lost my support a long time ago.

as AxelRose said, i really believe that we have ALL sent/received messages(text/email) that would fall foul of the "rules"
i miss the days when we had our own opinions which we could discuss rationally.
whatever race/creed/colour/sexual orientation etc once this could be talked about openly without recourse to being "PC" (i was born in the 60s)
And Yes - my gay/black/religious friends laugh at us

Has everyone condemning Mackay never received/sent a Racist,Homophobic,Sexist,Irish,Welsh,Scottish or Disability Joke, listened to one and laughed in a Bar or on TV however slightly or not told one in private in their whole life, never sang about Welshmen and Farm Animals? Unless you can honestly say no to all then your a hypocrite. No, I haven't. dont believe that you have never received something you were uncomfortable with or told an "Irish"/Welsh joke

Blown out of all proportion, the texts are just harmless banter. People get to upset over nothing these days.

Have posted on here in the past, people make "strong" posts but when challenged claim it's only banter.

dont believe that you have never received something you were uncomfortable with or told an "Irish"/Welsh joke You are right here however you know the person is telling a joke in the example you have given. If these are the full texts that are being circulated they clearly aren't jokes as there is no punchline. I have a friend (yes I do have one) who regularly sends me jokes which are very close to the mark, I know they are jokes. If I thought they went too far or were inappropriate I would ask them to stop sending them. This doesn't appear to have happened in thsi case due to teh number that are circulating.

For it to be 'banter' surely it would have to be received as such by it's intended target ? Spot on. The word banter in football is my least favourite. It normally means I want to abuse and offend someone and try to get away with it. The definition of banter is "exchange remarks in a good humoured teasing way". If it was text banter it would mean they it would have to be sent to the person themselves not to a third party. e.g. If a Welsh person sent a text to a Koreen saying "rounded up a load of dogs for you to eat" and the reply came back "good I will bring the sheep for you to shag" and they were BOTH laughing at the exchange that would be banter.

If Wonderwall had any friends to send him Text's,invite him out for a Pint or too a Cardiff match too sing 1-0 too the Sheep shaggers then he may have experienced some ''banter''of this kind. But the speed that he condemned Mackay after spending the last few years praising him suggests that after spending all his time trolling other Club web forums he is typical of someone who doesn't get out much and gets all his interaction and life experience from the internet.

Anyone who thinks that this was just banter needs to have a long look at themselves.
Were the emails and texts sent on club owned electronic devices?

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2732188/Malky-Mackay-called-Cardiff-City-Malaysian-owner-Vincent-Tan-chink.htmlFresh revelations today.. On June 5 last year, Mackay, then manager of Cardiff, contacted the club’s head of recruitment, Moody, about a player they were trying to sign. A message was sent from Mackay’s phone that read: ‘Not taking no for an answer from the chink until the 20th time or unless somebody big blows us out of the water. Can you tell him that.’ A week later came another illuminating exchange, offering what appears to be a startling observation about Mackay. At the time, Mackay was concerned that a player they were pursuing had been linked with a rival club. He relayed his feelings to Moody, who replied: ‘He told me he had an offer to go there but will never accept because the manager is a racist. Thankfully he hasn’t met you.’ It is understood the former Watford manager was inadvertently forwarded an email from a gay season-ticket holder at Vicarage Road, who had contacted that club complaining of feeling intimidated by homophobic chants during a match between Watford and Brighton. Mackay is said to have forwarded the email to Moody, apparently declaring ironically: ‘A must read!!’ Finally, a reference to a female colleague in an exchange of emails does not reflect well on Mackay either. Mackay had complained that the trouser press in his hotel room was not working. One colleague suggests he get a female colleague to fix it. ‘She can’t,’ Mackay replied. She’s shovelling **** for my roses.’

You can genuinely tell me exactly what was on those texts and that Malkay Mackay was definitely responsible for everyone. If they were why didn't they ask for them back when they quit Cardiff? Why wait for the very day that Mackay might sign for Palace to release them too the press? He left 8 Months ago. Cardiff jumped on the LMA within hours of the statement made. The Club who has owners who hire Banned hooligans to intimidate those who had the temerity to reject the ''Red Birds''. Cardiff's ownership stinks and they no full well that they've got the Club by the Balls because it will be ****ed without them and if they cannot make every single one of them jump to their tune then god help them.Including LMA Chairman who may disagree with them. And they chose the Daily Fail to release the story, that well known defender of equality and rights of ethnic minority's.

How can you display irony in an Email what was his response to the Gay Fan? That reference could refer to anyone even a Male is it sexist as it's a Female? If it's as serious as it is why aren't the FA informed before the Daily Fail months ago? It sounds like sour grapes from a pathetic little man that Tan is.

I think this is actually quite funny but only as it is Cardiff it has happened to. I think the majority of people would have laughed it off had it been one misguided text and put it down as a brainfart but to be racist, sexist, homophobic and anti semitic all at the same time shows that the individual is clearly troubled.
Should he be a football manager? Probably not. Would you trust him if he was your manager? Probably not but it depends how big the salary is. Is he finished in football? Probably. Would I want him as Shrewsbury manager in the future? NO
He looked like a decent young manager who could have had many years/clubs at Championship/Premier League level and now he has almost certainly thrown that all away and all the money that would have come with it. Guess he could get the Spain job if things get hard for him.
I think Mr Solskjaer will think twice about crossing Mr Tan in future.

If you had a choice would it be Tan as Chairman or Mackay as Manager? Do you think Mackay may admit to sending the Texts and cannot deny it as trying to remember everything he said in 10,000 is impossible. I would like to see every Text and Email sent by Vincent Tan and co in the last 18 months.I expect due to his wealth, power and security this is impossible.

Neither, in answer to Tan or Mackay.
Fortunately we aren't the sort of club who ends up the plaything of a nutter.

Richard Scudamore made comments about woman which seem to have been painted over and all forgotten. It's rules for one and not the other in football..

Don't blame this on Cardiff, the blame lies at Malky Mackay, Iain Moody and the LMA. I know it must be quite fun to blame Cardiff City, but we're the victims in this. Tan has got many things wrong, but he's spot on with this.

Watch an episode of Open all Hours too see that evil racist Ronnie Barker and David Jason dressing up as an Indian it's far worse than what Mackay may have wrote. Why release it too the Press the day he almost got the Palace job then? Were they biding their time and waiting to be vindictive when it suited them? Vincent Tan represents Cardiff City as did Mackay when the Texts were sent. And what about the Watford revelations? What Vincent Tan has done highlights Cardiff City as to who and what they are s**t attracts s**t. It may be justified considering the way the Fans laid down too have there belly tickled as soon as he mentioned ''Premier league'' if you agree to go Red. Sam Hamman was also an A*******,Peter Reisidue another that's before we mention the Supporters who are among the most detested in the land. Perhaps that's why those who know sod all about Football and how too run a Club are attracted too them?
