I think that is the poorest team I have seen come to the greenhous meadow . That's including the likes of Staines , a Wrexham side which included Richard hope and Darren kempson , and teams that aren't even in existence anymore. Admittedly they had 10 men second half , but they were garbage! Looked like they had never met ! The future is bleak for them and feel sorry for their supporters!

In some respects I think Accrington should be given a bit of credit for coming to our place and playing quite an open game, rather than just set up to defend with 11 behind the ball
Before we scored they had a half chance from a header, and had that gone in might have been a very different game.
Way the first and second goals occurred was of course very shoddy and poor play all round but those kind of things happen when you are down the bottom and really knock the stuffing out of a side and it was down hill from there.

Amazing how they keep going. They had 1,505 for their opening home game of the season. Tinpot had 1,655.

Always had a lot of time for Accy. They've fought their way back into the league and stayed there. They started like this last year, but stayed up quite comfortably in the end.

Accy were ok until the sending off, knocked the ball about and looked comfortable on the ball.
I have seen far worse teams over the years .
Town however in patches were unplayable and kept possession at levels not seen for some time.
I hope Stanley turn it round and best of luck to them

They made a few openings and if they could finish they would have punished us with the amount of space we gave them on the edge of box

I wish accy well, but this may not be their season. Exeter may do their best with Hartlepool to keep accy up.

The club that wouldn't die is certainly unwell! what happened to the Accrington Ultras? previous visits even with low numbers have included a hard core of vocal fans that have out sung us, although not difficult....shame really except for the 3 points

You can't blame him for that. It only opened up again in the last 10 mins or so when we became a bit sloppy.

Not the worse side but I suspect they will struggle this season

I thought they knocked it around well and could play a bit. Sending off knocked the stuffing out of them.

They played some nice football at times but had no edge up front and defensively they were a bit of a shambles, obviously highlighted by the keeper.
Id be surprised if they werent involved in a relegation battle

Seen plenty worse than that - including us on occasion!
I think they deserve credit for the way they regrouped at half time with the match already lost and played the 2nd half as a separate game. We didn't find it easy to get through their very deep 4-4-1 and the cricket score never looked likely to materialise.
We shouldn't get carried away. It all unravelled for them after the 1st goal. Well done Mangan for chasing it down and earning his luck, but it was still a lucky goal and there was a lot of luck about the penalty as well.

The GK that came on was the MOTM for them played really well I thought anyhow. I don't know how you can compare to Staines when they beat us? surely that means we are the worst team at the Greenhous.

I'd say for the opening ten, 15 minutes or so they were the better side. Had one very good opportunity to score and a number of sights at goal that they fluffed.
When you know your luck's out and you concede a first goal like that and then your keeper gets sent off, there's not an awful lot you can do about it.
Certainly not the worst side I've ever seen down here. That accolade would go to Coventry the year before last. Literally million pound players who couldn't string two passes together and had seemingly forgotten what they were being paid to do.

Literally million pound players who couldn't string two passes together and had seemingly forgotten what they were being paid to do. I agree with most of that L.S.F. The worrying thing to me is that Accy made space and should have scored at least 2goals before we got lucky. They found gaps in our defence and we failed to close them down quickly enough. A better team would have scored. Luckily for us COmedy Goal TIme helped us go 2 up.. will admit I was bored rigid with 30 mins to go. We played nice football, in front of their defence without penetrating them, knowing full well that the game was won. Oh for the introduction of a fit Wildig. Accy , I hope, improve and take points off our rivals, otherwise every team will help themselves to the 3 points. We will see how good we are after Saturdays game.

I've put them on my ''SKY BET £250,000 Transfer fund''as I think they will benefit more than anyone if I win and I have a ''soft spot''for Stanley. As a rule I will never Bet on any Shrewsbury fixture or involve them in any league accumulator.I will also avoid Bets on fixtures in L2 while Shrewsbury are in it and avoided L1 last season. If I'd chosen Shrewsbury I believe I'd jink's them.
