Problem today was Woodsy 86mins to take the ball with him and when he did we finished them off. Seemed far to deep why not let Conner bring the ball out he seems far better which would allow Woodsy to get further up the pitch. Wesoloski is far to good for this league the Pirlo of league 2 I heard some chap mention I tend to agree. JLAA played his best game so far even if it was 20 mins very influential in that final push. MOTM goes to Demetriou what a debut his reading of the game was very good seemed to know a second or 2 a head of play on a few occasions. Next up ACCY would like to see Wildig or Lawrence come in for Woods and may be give Mangan a run out saving the freshness of Collins or Vernon. You need to give the "Wildig must start" comments a rest Eggy. There are 3 better midfielders ahead of him and he will have to bide his time. Crazy to suggest he replaces Woods on Tuesday He needs to give us a paragraph! Then he can talk about whoever he wants. Impossible to read.

In all honesty, I have been a tad disappointed with Wesolowski. Sure he wins plenty of balls but half of these he, himself, has lost in the first place.

School teacher is out must get back to my homework SIR. Please do use paragraphs on your bigger posts. It's horrible to read and generally your posts are worth a read but I tend to skip/scan big paragraphs of text!

Cant side with those who were disappointed by yesterday.......
You have to give credit where its due and that is to Tranmere who did everything that Blackpool didn't ie they pressed us very quickly and also as high up the pitch as they could........
Blackpool gave us way to much time on the ball and allowed us to play and we subsequently looked so much better than yesterday.
Expect more games like yesterday imo apart from when anyone gives us time to play and then they will suffer the consequences.
I think it will be tougher to win games at Home than it will be Away, when Home teams will be taking the game to us therefore making games more open which will suit us better......

come on lads, a win is win, no matter how late. Accrington on Tuesday, p2 w0 0 points.this league is there fore the taking as our new Squad continues to bond. unbeaten, 4 points and already filling a play off place. the only place for carpers is surely on Flipping Fish!
looking forward to my State visit to Shrewsbury and Ludlow 9/10=11/10 for Cheltenham game, accompanied by my "lucky" 2 STFC bears Graham and Roland. after extra honey last night there is no way they are going back in the cupboard, win lose or draw.
league matches on red button now.
Floreat Salopia, Floreat Mickey and co, and Floreat the man in the shadows. step forward Roland and take a bow.

Positives: We have a manager who knows and can attract hungry lower leaugue talent e.g. Micky Demetriou and Andy Mangan. When we go a goal down we fight back, Those late goals. An unlikely three points after 89 minutes. How many extra people will that put on the gate on Tuesday, 500 maybe? The strategy seems to be working and entertainment is back.

Doubt it will put 500 on the gate I am expecting it to be worse.

Coming late to this thread I'm not going to bore everyone by repeating points already made.
I'd just like to thank the Tranmere boss for taking off their most threatening player, for bringing on a fat immobile centre back to ruin their defensive system and for putting his team under pressure by playing everyone behind the ball in the latter stages.
I'm also going to enjoy watching Wesolowski tackling anything that moves for the next 9 months.

Very professional. Super critical: "was forced out by "a" knee problem". Maybe also a referee rating?

That never say diet attitude will earn points as the season goes on! LOL. I have that attitude recently and it certainly doesn't earn me any points!

It does seem like that to me too though I'd imagine most refs in league 1 and 2 are the same, they didn't seem half as bad in league 1 as what we put up with in league 2

I thought the ref was pretty good on saturday, we are getting desperate in our shouts for a penalty now Right in front of me, the second was handball (it didn't travel that far so possibly could be deemed accidental, but still took the ball away from Vernon) and the first the defender was all over Clark's shirt. His fall was theatrical, a shirt pull isn't ever going to make someone fall over, but he was stopped by it. He was past the defender with the ball, he wouldn't have gone for no reason. Equally, NKP probably should have walked and he failed to get a lid on Tranmere's timewasting from the off. Thought he was definitely poor, but thankfully we took it out the equation. How often last season did we say 'ref was poor, but it's not an excuse, we still should have won'? Great stuff.

If we were away that's almost certainly a red card.

How often last season did we say 'ref was poor, but it's not an excuse, we still should have won'? Never? But 'ref was poor, no excuse though because we were s**t and deserved nothing' quite often, however

And it's worth mentioning that Connor Goldson is an absolute Rolls Royce of a young player. Not really a criticism as it's not his main job but he could do with learning to stick the ball in the net. Played well today but IMO I thought KP was the better of the centre halves Wonder if he read this... We'll done Connor, first of a handful this season hopefully

Not picking on you but it has made me laugh the number of people who say the Referees are worse in League 2. The Referees get split amongst the three Divisions. The Referee on Tuesday last season did 5 Championship games, 12 League 1 games and 11 League 2 games. Darren Deadman who we have today did 12 Championship games last season. What you will get is a Referee who is new to the Football League list will be given League Two games to start with for examople Mike Bull last season had five League Two games to start with then started doing League 1 games including two of ours. He was then given one Championship game.
