If you look at Wimbledons website you will see that ALL seats have already been sold and they are expecting high demand from their own fans so they may have restricted ours

absolute joke allocation, no season ticket this year but was planning more away trips had already booked a hotel in kingston and train tickets, lets hope club adopt similar policy to all teams travelling to greenhouse meadow and stick them in block 1 with the exception of possibly Portsmouth and maybe Luton who may bring more that 500 fans, not happy a happy fan this afternoon

AFC Wimbledon is a small ground - hence a smaller allocation. If they can sell the maximum amount of tickets they are allowed to to home fans, why wouldn't they?!

yes about 200. Notice it says terraced tickets, sureley there must be a number for seats as well which would increase the quantity. I am sure Bellevue Shrew will get on the case fairly pronto1

But I doubt it will. Don't blame Wimbledon for looking after their own first. They're likely to go back again. Our lads are just there for the one game...

Despite the excitement on this board for the start of the new season, it's still the height of the holiday season and a lot of people can't go, including me. Personally I think the season should start in September and end in March. Albeit I would like them to play every day during that time.

Seems strange only putting them on general sale 3 days before the game which is either due to Wimbledon sending them late of the new ticketing managers holiday

Wimbledon sent them late and nothing to do with the ticketing manager being on holiday.
Hidden advantages of having a season ticket have come into play early. First dibs on limited tickets for away games, high profile home cup games (hopefully) and free entry to the reserves.

So, is the Wimbledon game all-ticket? Must be a very small ground. I got in 2 years ago by buying a meal with the ticket. Horrible meal. That's when I met RW who was at an adjacent table! Looks like ShrewsPlayer commentary for me then.
