Anybody genuinely got some reliable information on this? With MM saying we received good compensation and their chairman saying good young wide players don't come cheap, I don't think we could have done badly out of it. Considering his probable value at a tribunal and the interest from other league one clubs surely we've pocketed 300 k minimum.
Posh fans seem to have taken to him straight away... Perhaps he won't be the bench warmer there that some on here predicted?

£450k should just about cover last season's loss, so very welcome if true.

I heard we paid them to take him. We have moved on from headless chickens to proper footballers.

I heard from two sources that it was 900k... But one wasn't sure it was fully accurate.

I'd heard £250k up front rising to £400k.
Given that a few clubs tried to 'hi-jack' the deal late on suggests that the transfer fee was not outwith the reach of others. I reckon that I rate JT more than some on here but not convinced that news that STFC was letting the lad go for a million quid would spark a race for his signature among lower league sides.

I do get why most of the time the transfee fee is 'undisclosed' as it prevents clubs adding an extra 10-20K etc onto a players value when they know the buying team has just sold a.n.other for 500K but the fee paid for Joe Hart from Man City was disclosed and, well, we aren't sure because no-one knows, is that Hart's fee is probably more substantial than JT's would be. So I don't understand why JTs value hasn't been disclosed officially.

£300,000 plus £5,000 for every cross he puts in that beats the first man. So I make that a total fee of £300,000.

Hard to tell exactly as transfers will often include extra payments for sell-ons, appearances and so on. MW seems to be an experienced CE so will have negotiated an excellent deal for sure. I imagine that there will have been an initial lump sum to be followed by regular instalments.

I hope this is the start of an era where we receive decent money for our young players by selling them at the right time. If I remember correctly we received little/nothing for Lowe, Tolley and Rodgers having previously received good offers when they were in form and getting the headlines.

In addition to them, there was also Karl Murray who was rumoured to be interesting clubs. I guess the club are in a difficult position because if they sell players they are accused of lack of ambition but ultimately player sales are vital to clubs like us. And you only have to look at Mason Springthorpe to see a career on football is unpredictable Oh and for the record I heard £450k

From a club and player point of view the career paths that Taylor, Goldson and Woods are taking seem better.

£300,000 plus £5,000 for every cross he puts in that beats the first man. So I make that a total fee of £300,000. I,ve heard he done well in pre-season training, covered virtually every blade of grass on the training pitch. This week they're going to see how he does with the ball.
