What do you consider to be a good start to this new season ? Things to consider amount of new signings ! New manager and coaching staff ! Possible new systems ! Expectations ! After 10 games what would you consider to be acceptable ?
Myself after 10 games minimum in the playoffs. I would like to see a good hard working team that plays to the final whistle.
Would 4 wins 3 draws and 2 defeats be such a bad start ?

I'll take 10 wins, 0 draws and 0 losses, progression in the paint trophy and league cup.
I'm not greedy.

I don't have any expectations or aims for 10 games in, 46 games in is the only thing which will matter, but it will be interesting to see how we get on in those first 10-15 games to see how we compare to the rest of the league.

Year we went up in 2011/12 our first 3 games were
Drew at home to Plymouth Lost away at Oxford Drew away at Burton
Think we were 20th in the table. No need to panic if such happens again, although I think a good start is imperative

I'll be quite relaxed. It'll take the players time to gel and really start to function as a team, so I'm not fussed for the first 10 games or so. If we're not in touch with the playoffs by Christmas, though, I'll start to worry.

We'll be in the top four for 95% of the season!

Really didn't see us getting promoted after that but side did turn round pretty soon after it Not really going to judge us too much until late autumn. Having a big squad is great but may take time to find best first 11 and particularly the best defensive set up - which isn't always easy in the early part of the season where games come thick and fast

I know friendlies don't count for much, but from the highlights of WBA and Watford on youtube, I was very impressed by the fast passing and movement in attack. If that continues and develops I think we could dish out some proper hammerings this season. Very optimistic, hope to see us start off the season with at least a few draws, move on to drawing away and winning our home games, and hopefully go on a winning run at some point. Would also be very nice to progress in the cups for a change.

I'll stick to the old 11 points from 6 games that GT used to preach for promotion. If we can have a steady but unspectacular start then things will be very rosy. There is always 1 team that starts strong and falls away thanks to their small squad and that's where we can capitalise with our (hopefully) quality squad!

93-94 we lost our first 3 league games including a 6-1 defeat at Preston and were rock bottom of league with a caretaker manager in charge in our fourth game we managed a 3 all draw with Colchester so our last two promotions from this league have been slow, I would love us to go all season unbeaten but that won't happen I would be happy with a points tally of 17+ points

Collins walking onto the pitch as it means we've finally replaced him. Scoring from a corner.

Does our unbeaten home record still count for this league?

I’m more concerned about the last 10 games and where we finish.

Which striker replaced James Collins after he left Shrewsbury in 2012/2013 season??

I'd hope we would be in the top 10 by Christmas. We've signed some very decent players on paper but it's an almost entirely new team and coaching staff. Decent players doesn't necessarily mean decent team, not straight away anyway.

No pressure then! Ill settle for a team who look like they want to play together and a captain who looks like a captain, oh, and some great substitutions if things are not going to plan.

As a lot of said, it's where we are at the end is important, what I'd be looking for more is whether the team looks settled and playing good football in the first 10 games. if we lost the first 10 games then won the last 36 I think we'll be fine

Because the club have made a huge investment, if the season does not go well they could end up financially badly damaged. Still let's be positive and believe they will get promotion at the first attempt.
