As with everything new for the season can we have a change of build up music as I find the playlist for the last 5 seasons in a row to best honest the same old boring crap. Robbie Williams, I love you baby, Eye of tiger and even if I say so Catch us if you can is doing my nut in. New suggestions below please, time to refresh everything.

Agree on woodkid run boy run, its epic should be played just before catch us if you can infact its the sort of track that Id even prefer the Town to run out to than catch us if you can. Cuiyc just isnt epic enough for me.

For me got to keep CUIYC for the tradition if nothing else, however rest of the 'playlist' completely up for grabs.
Anything viable from any local bands such as sunshine underground or fight the bear as it would be good to build up a unique salopian vibe?

I can't say I'm ever in the ground early enough to listen but would it not be better just to have a pool of music to choose from so it is different each time? A mix of old and contemporary.

Why not be different and not have music. No problem picking then.

We have this debate at least once a year yet the person who chooses the pre match play list (a supposed music fan) takes no notice and just does what he likes... Correct myself he probably does take notice, smiles then does what he likes! There's a chance of course that the play list has to be OK'd by someone higher in the club who perhaps likes the traditional tunes and stipulates the level of sound hence no one can hear any announcements. I seem to remember the person responsible for the music got it wrong once turned the level up only for RW to gesticulate wildly and normal service was resumed. Whether it's the button monkey or not hasn't he heard this is the new STFC where fans opinions count so hopefully a new and improved pre match list will be used at a higher level but keep CUIYC Perhaps one for the FP to bring up, then we could have a vote, well 2 votes, one to see if we want to change and then another to choose the new list

Agreed, plus Catch Us If You Can because it's fabric (seems to be the buzzword). Personally, I'd be happy never to hear any of the following inside (or outside) a stadium again: Let Me Entertain You Eye Of The Tiger Chelsea Dagger The Final Countdown Stadium tunes don't generally match my personal taste but something suitably anthemic helps - Kaiser Chiefs "Coming Home" is a decent new one.

Yeah bin the old stuff, plenty of great old and new tunes that fit the bill and are generally popular so playing trite crap like Final Countdown is just lazy.

Never heard of her before (being old does that to you). Watched this and youtubed some of her other stuff and I must say she's brilliant.
