From todays match programme (not the generic numbers that were worn):
1. Leutwiler 2. Grandison 3. Demetriou 4. Woods 5. Ellis 6. Goldson 7. Vincent 8. D Mac 9. Collins 10. Vernon 11. Lawrence 14. Wesolowski 15. Wildig 17. Caton 20. Knight-Percival 21. Halstead 26. Akpa Akpro 31. Smith 36. Burton
Possibly some clues in there to where Mellon's thoughts lie!

Did Halstead not want 13? I can't remember the last time our 'second choice keeper' wore the number 13 shirt! Anyon wore 25...

With maybe a couple more decent signings from the trialists on the way, I dont think it gives us too many clues. Mellon has been gushing about Grandison but IMO I would rather Gayle as the No.1 right full back, while JG bides his time for a position in the heart of the defence. Whether DMac is fit or not, I don't see him as being much more than a squad player this season. On the evidence of yesterday, Caton should start and Wesolowski.

Does the no 13 shirt not go to the fan who bids for it and is in the team photo?

Does the no 13 shirt not go to the fan who bids for it and is in the team photo? It was 53 last season. Gavin Ward was the last wearer of the 13 shirt - he was on the bench a few times in 2012/13 when Anyon was injured.

Halstead chose number 21, as it was his number at Blackpool.
