He's an embarrassment & deserves no celebrity status whatsoever. Bell end! Coming from someone who will never match the passion bizzy shows. Behave yourself and get a grip

The blokes clearly very passionate but does need to get a grip. None of us are perfect but he's a nuisance at times and has overstepped the mark on several occasions. He'll end up with a ban which would be a shame as he's obviously a devoted supporter. Affording him legendary status on here won't help him either.

I'd read about him here but never met the guy until the terraces at Wimbledon 2 seasons ago, when my friend, son and myself were embarrassed and appalled at his language and behaviour. I was ashamed to be a fellow town fan that day and many women and children nearby were equally appalled at his constant juvenile sexualised language. I know he's a committed fan who goes all over the country following Town, but quite frankly he needs to grow up fast by all accounts. Gives me no pleasure to write this but seems he's at it again. Behave yourself. Embarrassed to have you class yourself as a town fan. You should be embarrassed to classify yourself as a mod if you can condone OTT behaviour.

As he is a member of this forum, maybe it would be good if he came on here and took the opportunity to say a few words, in his own defence or otherwise.

Judging by the state he is reported to have been in yesterday I wouldn't expect anything from him in the next hour or so Bizzy is probably the most passionate supporter I know and I'm proud to have him at our club. Yes he is a little boisterous at times, but if every player showed as much passion we'd be in the Champions League. Getting him to tone down would be tantamount to hamstringing him.

I like owd bizzy. Looks like the owd lad had a drop too much on this occasion. I'm sure he regrets it now.
Always lots of passion. I hope you're not thinking of getting him a transfer to go with you to watch the Veela.

On this occasion? Pretty much each time I see him he is loud and his language obscene. I'm sure that we all use foul language from time to time but Bizzy is not happy unless he is extremely loud, I think its that that makes people unhappy. I guess that if he wasnt hammered he would be quite mild mannered. Its about time that he took a long hard look at himself. No-one else has to get hammered to watch a football match and if he does then he has a serious problem.

I don't know the lad personally but I know of him seen him on many away trips draped in his town scarf. The lad breathes salop he is one of the most dedicated town fans out there goes mist games even reserves and youth. The bloke likes a drop of ale and gets carried away but nowt malicious and it's a shame but now a days you can't be seen drunk in public places. Hopefully a mate of his could pull him to one side when he goes ott. I don't want to see the lad banned for being passionate he for me has made some dire away trips brilliant like barnet

I like Bizzy, he's a nice lad.
But posters on here having a pop at Nottshrew need to wind their neck in.
"passion" and "loyalty" cannot be judged by how much you drink and how much you confront stewards.
There are many reasons why Bizzy is a) a good lad and b) a great fan and c) very passionate but none of them rely on how much he drinks and the language he uses. In fact, both of those actually work against all of the above.
Timmy Mallet is much, much more aggressive than Bizzy in my experience, so I can only assume Bizzy must have had an absolute skinful.
Ultimately I don't want Bizzy to end up being a plaque on the wall and a few memories like Anti tank.
But if people go to a football match sober, support our football team, and introduce their children to watching Shrewsbury Town then there is absolutely no way they should be questioned as a fan or somehow lacking passion. That's offensive and nonsense.
We're all Salop yeah? Let's look out for each other then.

Ill advised thread in general, I think, and unwarranted personal attacks (like some of the above) aren't going to help at all. The facebook post above (and the fact that the first thing he did when greeting a friend of mine yesterday was apologise for his behaviour) indicates that he clearly feels like he let himself down. Further lowering his self-esteem will achieve nothing.
Ultimately, I don't know the guy beyond the match day persona that many long standing Salop fans will be familiar with and therein lies the problem. A lot of Salop fans seem to treat him like public property; his antics are some sort of side show to their Saturday afternoon and they're quite happy for them to continue for their amusement without considering the long term implications on the bloke himself. These people would do well to familiarise themselves with the term 'enabler'.
To my mind and I'm sure a lot of other Salop fans, Bizzy is a totemic figure amongst the Town support, emblematic of the kind of characters and community feel that attracted a lot of us to lower league football in the first place so I can understand where the cult status comes from. It's his loyalty, passion for the club and eccentric nature that make that the case though, not the amount he has to drink. He's clearly got a lot of mates on here and out in the real world; maybe some of them could do with giving him a bit of support to manage his drinking a bit better of a Saturday.
As for some of the views on the children / colourful language issue, I do feel for parents sometimes but on the other hand, you can't protect your kids from hearing this stuff forever. I grew up following the Town with my Dad in the late 80s and early 90s. Apart from when I was very little, we never went in the Family Stand. Some of the language I (and I'm sure many others) heard back then from people around us on the Riverside / Wakeman End would make Bizzy look like a Michael McIntyre special on prime time TV. I didn't grow up to be a foul mouthed bigot though, largely because I was told in no uncertain terms by my Dad that this kind of language wasn't acceptable and if he heard me repeating any of it, there'd be consequences; simple as that. Can't help but feel that some parents could do with taking the kid gloves off sometimes and trusting in themselves as role models.
I know, back seat parenting and all, I'll just go and get my crash helmet .......

Bizzy is a top lad, however like many people when Alcohol is involved does silly things out of the ordinary. Yesterday is a prime example before the match started he licked the ticket office window for some bizairre reason. Too much beer can spoil the broth. However If he was told several times to sit down then eventually they have no alternative if those monitoring from the control box tell them to remove him.

I don't know Bizzy and am not commenting on him, but what concerns me is people condoning and justifying folk who lose control of themselves because of too much alcohol or drugs.
I had a good friend who has been lost to both, he 'liked a drink' before games and often turned up 'merry'. He was considered a 'character' and people who just saw him on the terrace and thought he was a good laugh treated him as an entertaining performing monkey.
His real friends knew that his drinking had cost him his marriage, would cost him his job and eventually his sanity.
The last time I heard from him was a 3am 'phone call begging me to call Interpol as he said he had been kidnapped by drug dealers and was on a ship heading for Africa.
Substance abuse is not a joke and can lead to tragic consequences for abusers and heartache for their family and friends.

I wasn't there yesterday, so obviously can't comment on Bizzy's antics personally, but I suppose regarding anyone who did, maybe ask yourself what your opinion would be if it wasn't Bizzy but someone you've never seen before behaving in an identical manner. At the end of the day, that's the acid test.

We're all Salop yeah? Let's look out for each other then. We are all Salop but we all come from different walks of life so it should be no surprise that people have different viewpoints and at times those views will conflict. Its obvious to some people the thought of drinking before a game, turning up 'merrry' and then using industrial language is an outdated one and is not welcome to a family friendly stadium. Personally I do all those things, im 32 with no kids, the pub before and after is very much part of the social side of the game and if you took that way I doubt Id go (Ive said before that the social side was one of the main reasons I renewed my season ticket). The thought of going straight to a game, sitting watching the game in near silence and then going home is one which fills me with dread, I know people do that and that is their choice which I have no problem with. But the problem is my choice is considered anti-social nowadays, particularly at new soulless, sanitised but ultimately family friendly grounds. My viewpoint is that if I was sat in a family stand I wouldnt do those things which is why I sit at the back of 18, generally its ok but every now and again I get a scowl from people. And of course problems arise at games where there is a mixture of fans with differing views, normally at away games with a decent following in all seater stands. Sadly its a consequence of all seater grounds particularly with us where you could previously walk round two sides of the ground and generally know where to go or avoid.

I think Bizzy has made an apology above and has also said he's going to try and do something about it. I think that's enough really
Turned up p*ssed, was a bit too loud, got told off a few times, ignored them all, got kicked out, probably woke up with a sore head and dog breath, thought to himself 'what a berk', apologised, doubt he'll do it again.
We've all been there, if not at a football ground, we've still all been there !
He'll sort it out no bother.

My season ticket for the last few seasons was the back row of 18 and I don't remember the last time I sat at a game there. This season I plan to bring my daughter who is 3. Out of respect to you, and care for her, I'll sit elsewhere. I'm not sure that the family stand is any better than other blocks in the west stand mind. But if in a couple of years time, it's a big away game and I've tried to sit near the front with my little girl, and you end up near us, then please respect me. That's what happened at Sheffield United away the first time, families, children down at the front being chastised by a few mallet wannabes who turned the air blue and refused to sit down. None of that is about modern football yadda, yadda, yadda. It's about respect, and respect is a two way street.
