I have no time for them either. This is a full time professional club playing in the Micky Mouse League of Wales with, according to their website 23 players. How can this club manage to bankroll all these players on the attendances that they get at Park Hall? At one time they were paid by a telecoms company but then that company became part of BT. Is it a rich persons plaything? One of their players has been there since 2002, he must be due a pension by now!! Guaranteed European football every season and guaranteed to crash out in most cases in the preliminary stages of the competition. They have a bigger squad than MM!!!

Always recall Bangor beating them on the last day of the season to win the WPL a few years back!
Vile idea of a club.

Looking to watch a local team when I moved down here, went to see them play in Llansantffraid once, when their manager was Ken McKenna.
His language from the bench was appalling - totally inappropriate with both young children and women present. As an ex submariner I can use heavy duty industrial language with the best of them, but there is a time an place for everything.
So, decided to vote with my feet and afraid you guys ended up with me!!
Mike Harris who is the Chairman sold his company to BT and he now bankrolls them I believe?

Having had the "privilige" of hearing Mr McKenna in full flow on 3 occasions, I don't think his accent will come as a surprise to anyone

Personally don't have a problem with TNS or Mr Harris. I was led to believe that Mr Harris wanted to invest in Shrewsbury, and become a director, but was knocked back by RW......so went off and put his money into the Llansantffraid club and changed their name to the name of his company because it's allowed in the Welsh Premier League

There yearly Champions league adventures have helped a lot they've drawn big crowds H & A for games against Anderlecht,Liverpool and Man City(Millenium Stadium) which I think gets them a share of gate receipts. I don't know why they use Rhyl i'm sure Slovan Bratislava would attract enough to play at the Racecourse. Is their a UEFA rule preventing them playing in England as I'd of thought Chester or here would be far more practical then Rhyl?A bit ironic considering their own grounds in Shropshire.

Yet their appears to be a certain type of character that runs LOW club's as the Aber Chairman himself wasn't allowed to board his plane in Switzerland after getting to p**sed at the draw on UEFA'S expense

May I offer my heartiest congratulations to the players, directors and of course the supporters of The New Saints for their annual capitulation in their European game tonight where they lost 2-0 on the night and 3-0 on aggregate.

That's very generous of you as I don't recall them ever congratulating us on our cups runs over the last few years.

and while I am on my high horse why do Radio Shropshire see fit to broadcast the two games live. There isnt a huge amount of support around the Oswestry area so why do they think that it is worthy of Shropshire wide coverage?

Radio Shropshire & Shropshire based club = They get live coverage for two games per season, always about this time of the year, and thats their lot. Leave them alone

They normally would play at the Racecourse but it's just been relayed so Rhyl was the next best option . They always play the right way and having watched them play many times the standard is pretty good . Having watched the last 3 times they've played in the Champions league they've always given a good account of themselves . Like last nights opposition had spent over £8 on their team but you couldn't tell the difference ............ and they are a local club !
