Walsall fan coming in peace again. Well, well well!! Our Tom Bradshaw is doing the business as I said he would back in June. He is a quality player who is not only running the line brilliantly but banging in the goals. Not bad for a free transfer!! He clearly needed a better footballing team to tap into his full potential. I wouldn't be suprised if Wales coming calling again on his current form. Thank you for taking time to visit our forum. Good luck Tom Bradshaw and good luck Walsall F.C.

Always stuck up for Bradders. However, he did this for us last season - scored 5, was on course for 20 and looking lively before he had a few bad games and was (harshly IMO) dropped. Few rumours circulated, then he got an injury, and came back and scored a couple at the end of the season. Still think he'll do well though; a new start will have done him the world of good. I also stick by my previous statement that I'd rather have him up front for us than Scott Vernon.

He made the decision to go. If he was still here he would be coming on for the cameos and scoring the elusive goals when all is lost in games like Southend.
Probably best for his career that he went, just hope the settlement reflected his goal scoring abilities.
We need to move on and find another game changer who can come on and score, maybe that person is already in the squad somewhere?

Always stuck up for the lad as you could always see he had some talent.
He did get his chances but when you play hoofball to him, how can you expect him to perform.
I'm sure he'd have like to stay on here but he was only going to be 4th choice getting cameos.
Good luck him, great career move by the looks of it.

Another Walsall fan in peace...
Shrewsbury's loss is most definitely Walsall's gain. Frankly amazed you guys were prepared to let him go! I was quite impressed by Bradshaw during our pre-season games but with each competitive game he just gets better and better. His movement, ability to lead the line and end product is first class. Our manager, Dean Smith has come in for some real criticism this season. His highlight, without question, has been the signing of Bradshaw and Bradshaw's obvious development under his management.
I'd be disappointed if Bradshaw didn't bag 15-20 goals this season. If his form continues (no reason why it won't) Bradshaw will be in or around the Welsh National team by the end of the season.
Off subject: I've heard rumours that we have scouted (on more than one occasion) young Ryan Woods. Any truth your end in this? Is he under contract?
All the best for the season.

One thing is certain, nobody will get Woods on the cheap.

It was SKY's Football Review who mentioned that he joined on a Free what substance this has who knows? But whatever the truth His career is looking like it will benefit from a fresh challenge he's scoring goals and getting noticed which is little more than a striker can do, he has age on his side and is proving to be a L1 Player if Walsall go down then he will be an asset either for sale or to the Club as a player. Perhaps the deal was a free with a good sell on clause if he'd stayed here fighting to get into a L2 Club it's likely he'd have gone for nothing at the end of the season and would have damaged his prospects significantly in doing so. Letting him go freed up wages that have been allocated to the rebuilding.

I think it's at times like this when supporters show themselves up a little and explains why they don't happen to be making a living from the game... We have seen many times over a player moving from one club to another showing improvement. Finding himself a better fit in whatever system his new club happens to be playing. Playing him in a different position perhaps. Giving him a different role within the team. Playing alongside better players. I just think some fans are too quick to judge at times, quick to label a player poor when there are many different factors that contribute to how a player performs. I dread to think how many forwards have turned up at Town only to struggle and then head off to pastures new and score bucket fulls. No idea how many goals Bradshaw will end up with, might well go tits up sooner rather than later. Dunno. But whatever, he clearly has something about him. Certainly a little more than one or two gave him credit for...

At his age and with us offering him a contract then surely it's a tribunal job if the clubs didn't agree a fee - maybe this hasn't even taken place yet?

I believe that is if both Club's are in dispute if Walsall & Shrewsbury agreed a free then there's no need for a tribunal. Although there is a compensation that the buying Club will have to pay if they sign him at the end of his contract, but as Tom was an Aberystwyth Youth Graduate I'm not sure if this would have applied to Shrewsbury moving him on.
