I would be surprised if he gets 15 games, but good luck to him.

Tom will get 15+ this season the lad has potential Na, he hasn't improved since he was a 17 year old. Can't see him doing anything. Yes he got 7 goals last season but how many did he get the season before?

"I believe we can further develop him here and really bring the best out of him."
So says Walsall manager Dean Smith. So they clearly see him as a work in progress, far from the finished article. He wouldn't be the first player to leave us and find his shooting boots.
Wikipedia has him listed as 6ft?! Is that right? I thought he was smaller than that.

No way he's 6ft. I'd guess about 5'7"

If he is 6ft, then some of the defenders he bounced off whilst with us, must be at least 7ft.

Would be interesting to see what he does given a decent run in a settled side, something he has never really had with us. Im far from convinced he will be good enough as he's failed to impress when he's started and he's normally effective when coming off the bench. But like I said he was normally in and out of the team so was hard to get any momentum
However Id be amazed if he started as first choice for Walsall so can see his career continuing in the same vein as with us

Interesting interview just up on Shrewsweb with MM giving his side of the story. Reminiscent for me of the Collins saga two years ago when he didn't speak to the manager either. So .... Will Bradshaw return in a couple of years too?

Don't blame the lad for moving on. Some of the comments on this thread have been pretty poor.
The lad isn't Lionel Messi. He's a young lower league striker trying to make his way in the game. Like all players at this level he has strengths as well as weaknesses.
Many football experts on here have declared the lad 'crap', but lets look at the facts shall we?
Offered a contract by Simpson. Offered a contract by Turner. Offered a contract by Mellon. Offered a contract by Smith.
Seems to be the lad either has one hell of an agent or, perhaps, just perhaps, has something about him which has played him into the plans of the four knowledgeable men above.
Good luck Tom lad. Better off out it son.

Ill counter that mark by saying he was offered a contract so we would get money for him and he decided to take the offer until now. Simpson and Turner offered him a contract but didn't give him a decent chance. We needed him as a cheap back up striker and that's exactly what he was. Fair play to him for trying to make more of himself even if he has stuck two fingers up to the fans by joining our rivals.

Don't think we can really blame him for joining Walsall. Up a division, near the top of league one as well, and offering an extra year and almost certainly more money, not to mention his need for a fresh start and Walsall's track record of developing young players. It's not like we're directly competing against them next season either. Why would he have stayed with us, really?

I have to say good luck to the lad and wish him all the best down at The Biscuit Tin. The poor lad has always been the bridesmaid and never the bride. When you think that Marvin Morgan couldnt hit a barn door but managed to play the majority of the season and Tom Eaves played virtually every game from January onwards with a very poor scoring ratio no wonder Bradshaw stuck two fingers in the air to the hierarchy. He obviously foresaw that he was only going to be a squad player again this season and decided that being a squad player in a higher league was preferable and, presumably a little wealthier too.

If might have been an astute move of Tom to at least pop along with his agent and chat to Mickey and see what he was offering, but hey ho, off you go, Tom. At least you'll be with a sound as a pound manager in Smith. One of the top lower league managers without a doubt.

Don't blame Tom for going to Walsall - makes sense for him.
Think he was unprofessional not to sit and have a chat with MM though.
And, ultimately, I don't think we will miss him, especially if his replacement is along the same lines in quality as Collins and Vernon.

A very different way of behaving compared to Jon Taylor who has left us with the blessing of the manager and the fans. Good manners hurt no-one. Bad manners just make you think - oh blow you then!
Obviously MM has a similar outlook and good luck to him for that.

For Tom Bradshaw also read Steve Leslie. Both players having received extended contracts each year as successive managers lived in hope that one day they would deliver.
On their day, terrific players........tremendous goal scored by Leslie away to Macclesfield will always stick in my mind.
Unfortunately consistency let both down.

I'd forgotten about Leslie. Just looked up on Wiki and he played for Worcester last season but left and emigrated to Australia.

Was probably only offered a contract to ensure we got a fee if as he did chose not to sign.

Walsall fan coming in peace again. Well, well well!! Our Tom Bradshaw is doing the business as I said he would back in June. He is a quality player who is not only running the line brilliantly but banging in the goals. Not bad for a free transfer!! He clearly needed a better footballing team to tap into his full potential. I wouldn't be suprised if Wales coming calling again on his current form.
