Never really did it for us, but it is the right time for him to move on, it might click elsewhere for him, it might not. No way will be anything other than a fringe player there.
As he came through our youth team, and we offered a contract, we should also have got a fee for him should we not? If so thats even better news.
Thanks for the efforts Tom.
So another striker will have to come in now, all very exciting!

Really? If I was Bradshaw I would have jumped at the chance to be in League One, just this morning I was hoping he wouldn't sign his contract as I think we could easily get better, good news imo.

You can see why he would take the deal, League 1 and all that, and for Walsall hes worth the gamble for sure. I personally am more happy that we do the full on rebuild and another new striker does away with any of the stink of last season in the forward positions.
I was more worried about Goldson not resigning. Hope he still does.
Also minus points to Bradshaw for joining one of our local rivals.... does that mean he will get booed if we play them (in a cup!)?

on Shrews facebook page Tom Bradshaw has turned down Town's offer of an improved contract and has joined @wfcofficial on a 2yr deal - ow.ly/ykFHGGood luck to Tom - a chance to move on in a new envionment. But for us the excitement of at least two other strikers being required and hopefully signed in the near future.

Good move for Tom, good move for us, strange move for Walsall.
Replacing Westcarr with Bradshaw - crikey!

Sure he'll end up banging them in and have a good career now. Still a little surprised, presume he'll be fourth choice there. Hopefully we at least made a decent profit on the £30k we had to pay for him.

Bit of a surprise to see him go to Walsall as think League One level might be a little too much for him, but a great move for him after last season and good we get some kind of fee too
Still feel with a regular run in a side and with decent service Tom can be a good lower league striker. Do feel he could be one that goes on to do well at another club, but a parting with Salop now is probably best for both parties

Is anyone really that bothered? He failed to live up to his potential with us IMO. Half the time (usually when he came on as a sub) he 'looked lively', but didn't do a great lot else. Good luck Tom...but you will not be missed by me; inparticular now we have two better strikers in Collins and Vernon.

Play to his strengths, i.e. not as a lone striker and he will do well for them.
Good luck and thanks.

Nice to see the clubs were able to agree a fee without the palaver of a tribunal.

Still think Bradshaw has a lot more goals to come. He's a good finisher and would have got more for us with the right regular partner.
I hope we can find a better replacement but I'm not sure it'll be that easy. Good luck to him anyway.

Good deal for Tom plus Shrewsbury only offered a 1 year deal and he has got himself a 2 year contract with Walsall!

17 goals in 98 appearances for us.. I never truly understood the comments some have of he will get goals... he will get goals i guess, just not many over and over a really long period of time.

Having seen Tom in a number of games and a number of times in training he is just not league 2 standard,he will not get a run in the Walsall starting eleven i am afraid.Still goodluck to the lad for taking the money while he can.

On the one hand he has been with us a while now and hasn’t progressed that much to the point every year seemed to be “last chance” for him to perform. However last year in particular I felt sorry for him as loans were regularly brought in and he was dropped however he was the one striker who scored a few when given an opportunity. The problem for him was when he started he wasn’t that effective but did well when coming on as sub
Personally I think it’s a good move all round, he gets a chance to kick-start his career and we will get some compensation for him.

Our loan arranger will be miffed, Bradshaw's departure means ten players out and ten in so far. We have now been involved in 20 deals - exactly the number of loan players we had last season.

Good opportunity for Tom. People forget he scored 7 goals in league 1 last season which in our shocker of a season was actually a very good return.
Play to his strengths and let him forge a proper partnership and I think he'll be useful at league 1 level.

There is a lot more to his time here than just suggesting that he scored x amount of goals in y amount of games.
For example in our first season back in the league he was mainly used as a sub, while last season he was used in roles that were plainly unsuited to him.
Despite that he still managed 7 goals in 28 games. 1 in 4 in a poor team is not bad.
Let’s remember that Romain Sawyer hardly impressed while here but now seems a key part of Walsall’s team.
