I think it looks smart and will especially with black shorts and socks. I don't see why it should stop us having a blue and amber striped first team strip either!

Fred, black shorts and socks........As part of the new chief execs influence and cutbacks, it's jeans as per the photo. Apparently part of linking with normal fans......

Something new was bound to push some Town fans over the edge! The moaners will always moan but it's not bad in my humble opinion.

I hope they offer one hell of a discount for those who have already purchased the current one I am at a loss as to why... A) The Club would offer a discount on a Shirt, which is typically the item most go and purchase B) Why you would suggest they should. Every Club has either or, a new Home/Away shirt each season. We have no reason to think the Red and Black wont now be used as a 3rd kit, Weve had 3 kits most seasons give or take. As for the shirt itself, I will wait till I see it up close before I chastise the Club for having the audacity to go for something a little different to usual. - What colour scheme did people want? Red... again? Or White again?

Not too keen on the colour scheme, and of course clippy ruins it, but the design is decent. The new sponsor logo is a massive improvement.

No Dave there were no discussions or prior notification to the Supporters Parliament, well not that I'm aware of.

I think it is not too bad. Is it a two year deal with Surridge? If so this shirt may only be used for one season.

I can understand all types of comments re the shirt itself, but moaning because it's being modelled with jeans? Come on, that really is moaning for moanings sake.

Regarding the design and the greenhous logo, it's very contemporary - following the plain, simple, flat design cues of things like Windows 8 and iOS7.

Sponsor looks a bit amateurish but apart from that it's alright.
Prefer the Black and Red one but theres far worse away kits out there .

On the contrary, I think the improvement in the sponsors logo is massive. Clean, stylish and inobtrusive. Compare it to the ugly white blob on the front of the current shirt. No contest.

As Shrewinjapan pointed out, this is very much en vogue in terms of current branding. Simple, clean, flat typeface. I like it personally, and in terms of our footie shirts it's far less ugly and interferes less with the shirt design.

For me there where a few issues that made me dislike the current home shirt but possibly the biggest was the way the blue with amber pin stripes completely ruined the look of the sponsors logo and diverted the natural line of sight away from the splendid and yet teasingly subtle white blob splat in the middle!

I don't think the fans were consulted on the last away kit were we? Maybe that's just for the home shirt and the club have decided they'll sort out the away kit themselves. One thing though, this is quite early for Town isn't it? Don't we normally have to wait until closer to the season before we see new kits? Which means the club might have made the effort to get things in place earlier so that the new shirts are available for the open day. So that's good.
Do hope we can get some Surridge gear in the club shop with the Loggerheads. I think we are still waiting on the club to respond to that...

Having spoken to some at the club the orders were placed a long while back and the issues with kit not arriving for the open day should be behind us now.
The SP were not consulted on this kit, the design or colours. If it something we should be involved in going forward that's another matter, but I believe that this was all sorted pre SP being established.

My Dad always said that it was pointless worrying about a bad haircut as, like a good a good haircut, it only lasts two weeks.
Same principle applies to an away strip. No point worrying about it if you don't like it. It only gets worn a few times and only lasts a season or two.

I can’t decide whether it is a purely commercial decision by the Club, or it is because D & R play in blue and red.
Out of interest is one of the functions of the SP to discuss commercial decisions?

Apologies if anybody has stated this earlier, but it says it will be worn with black shorts, and yellow socks.

It's yellow! Your phone is ok! What has Yellow got to do with Salop? I was hoping it was my phone! Would have thought Amber would have been more appropriate!
