Have you got a world famous breed of cattle? I don't know about the rest of you, but this is a source of almost constant disappointment and jealousy to me. It's should be a blessing being solvent and in the Football League, but to me it just feels like such a hollow sham of an existence without having had someone name some livestock after our county 200 years ago.

Shrewsbury has a by-pass.
Anyhow fair play to Blyth in partaking in some lolz top bantz while he should mobilising the massed ranks of Hereford supporters in saving the brand.

Hereford is known as being the land of the 6 fingered, and the population for having no tangible grip on reality. They also have their own dialect, its called bull-s**t.

The combination of Keyte and Agombar should see off HUFC I'd imagine. With the possibility of that nice Mr Vaughan lurking in the background. Agombar is clearly a front for a consortium as evidence from Companies House suggests he hasn't personally got a pot to pass water in.

I see you have an identity crisis,as one of your other posts suggested.Shrewsbury is famous for it's Loggerheads sure you are everyone knows that.I can't think what else your famous for you definately need rebranding. Have you got a world famous breed of cattle, a cathedral ,a drinks brand or a specialist armed forces that you are famous for. Back to the drawing board at least Telfords got the Iron Bridge.Over to you. Famous for a cow. Woo hoo. Or should that be Moo hoo. I think that one or two other places may also have a cathedral. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the word 'Cathedral' does not automatically conjure up images of Hereford. One or two notable locations may just tip you for first place in the popularity stakes. Drinks Brand??? I suspect the SAS located there due to your obscurity, rather than your worldwide fame. Good choice, if you ask me.

Well Blyth's a gift that keeps giving isn't he.:-)
They have a cathedral, doesn't everyone ? They have a worldwide drinks brand apparently - that is owned lock stock and barrel by a Dutch company. They have a specialist armed forces regiment that is staffed entirely by people not from the city or County and are ordered to live there by the government, and they have a breed of cattle named after the county, oh the glory !
And they have a world wide football brand and identity that struggles to get 1500 people to a home game. Barca must be cr@pping it.

This thread has 97 replies to date..
The highest thread on Herefords football forum is 59 and that's a England v Honurus thread!
So go easy on Blyth he doesn't have many friends to talk to about Hereford!

I went to Hereford once but it wasn't very nice so I haven't been back We're not that interested in cows around here, not fluffy enough (haven't you heard?) ... We do have the not very well known Shrewsbury Biscuit, Shropshire Blue Cheese and the World's first Iron Framed (delapedated) building... The grand daddy of Skyscrapers everywhere apparently... I guess that would beat the small bridge down the road if exhibited properly? Oh, and that chap with no dandruff who will be picking the ball out of the net for us during the World Cup, I think he's got something to do with Salop too ;P

I reckon Shrewsbury has the best tramps, vagrants and street drinkers too. Other towns have long struggle to compete in that respect. Hereford are known to be particularly envious of that bloke who looks like Danny Devito and hangs around Abbey Foregate a lot.

Deadline now Thursday for both Hereford and Salisbury ............ I like the way Keyte acknowledges the fact that the new 'owner' has a criminal record and goes on to say he's the right man for the job..... Only applicant more like... What would happen if the new owner does pay off the debt and then fails to pass the FA Fit and Proper test? www.footballeconomy.com/content/two-conference-clubs-given-thursday-deadline?

Hereford United chairman David Keyte has backed the threatened Conference Premier club's decision to sell to new owner Tommy Agombar. The London businessman has a criminal record, having been jailed for seven years in 1987, for being part of a gang which stole hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of goods from lorries. But Keyte insists that everybody deserves a second chance in life. "Yes. absolutely. It was 27 years ago." he told BBC Hereford & Worcester. Hereford United - they beat a middle of the table frist division team before most of us were born and thats about it!
Forget that most people in Hereford and Herefordshire could not give a haypenny j*zz about the club, forget the fact they no longer have a youth team, forget the fact the club has gone from a state of financial security to near bankruptcy and is now owned by a man who is widely believed to only be at the club for the 4.5 acres of city centre land the ES sits upon.
I'll happily settle to be mere old Shrewsbury Town ta owd old lad!

Saudi Arabian prince Khalid Bin Bader Alsaud has signed for Conference Premier side Salisbury City. The 19-year-old midfielder, who has been playing at Bromley, was unveiled by new chairman Outail Touzar. Dubai-based Moroccan businessman Touzar, 31, bought the club with Whites supporter Mark Winter last month. Since their takeover, the new owners have been told they must get their finances in order if they are to keep their place in non-league's top flight. It is thought the club's outstanding debt includes players' wages, which have been delayed for two months. Touzar has become Salisbury's main financial backer, with Winter taking care of the club's day-to-day running. The Whites, who finished 12th last season, came out of administration in December after five years of financial turmoil, in which they incurred double demotion to the Southern Premier in 2010. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27762722Why have you posted this in a thread about Hereford? Explain yourself.

If its a toss-up between the two clubs, Salisbury or Hereford, i hope the bigger club gets the vote. Come on the Salisbury Massive.
