I have noticed they're no longer trading. Anyone know why? Seemedlike a potential gold mine to me with being close to the football ground, i always thought the fish was nice too. Open soon under new management. Half price i noticed for 1st few days trading NO POLLOCKS.

Yes big sign outside - reopened just before the Chelsea game which is good timing!
Going to be called the Meole Fish Bar apparently. Bit of a boring name, if only there was somewhere the owners could have got a range of fish related puns to use in the name!
Planning permission also gone through for a new supermarket behind the BP Garage this week, which might open up more food/parking options for getting to the ground

But why oh why did it close down? This thread is 5 months old and I'm still non the wiser. Would be good if the new establishment put some of the fish mentioned in this thread on their menu.

Living close by the previous shop was never very busy so guess the owners sold up due to lack of business. Was competing with two well established chip shops on Hereford Road and Coleham, and not far from McDonalds and a number of other takeaways in the area too Aside from the football not a lot of passing trade there either so bit surprised to see it reopen as a chip shop.
