With weale and anyon more than likely off in the summer, is callum burton good enough to be number one next year? Anyone seen anything of him? Turns 18 in august. Joe hart was in first team around this time. Be nice and cheap which suits STFC and potentially the next joe hart?

He's obviously a decent keeper but he is still very young (17 or 18) and I would prefer if he had a season or two as a "back up" keeper.
Ideally, we would keep Weale on and have Burton as number 2 who would play in JPT games.

I assume that Callum would also play in our F.A Cup tie and our Capital One Cup tie as well ? So thats 3 first team run outs, and at least one humiliating defeat, for him next season then !

Why do so many people think Weale will be going? Yes he's a top class keeper and too good for League Two, but he's not getting any younger and hasn't had a brilliant season, which is why he was dropped, if he wants to be a part of what Jackson is building here then I see no reason as to why he'd leave, could step up to a coaching role within our set up, be would be a big asset in that capacity, he talks a good game.

I think it's his salary which would be the sticking point, especially if we get relegated.

He's only 32, probably got 5 or 6 years left as a keeper. Might he be tempted back to Yeovil though?? Certainly hope not and I hear he is settled in Shropshire but I guess anything can happen.....

I didn't mean my post to sound like I meant the coaching role now, I just meant in general, if we could get him to stick around that may be an option.
