Confirmed on his Twitter 8 minutes ago, any money coming our way? According to the Swindon local rag we should get 20% of the transfer fee.

I think its 20% of the profit on transfer.
He's signed for 200k then....
If they take the initial 140k as the figure then we will get 20% of 60k = 12k If they take the whole fee + add ons (200k) then we will get 20% of 0 = 0k
Nothing really significant.

some people are really not very bright
We get 20% of any transfer fee, so if he is sold for £10.00 we get £2.00, simples. so whatever he sells for, /100 *20 and that is the figure we get

Is it more money for Roland to pocket and us to never see again? Irrelevant really then.

I thought we also had to give a percentage to Villa too if my memory serves me right.

Just looked at the townend.com for the reaction from Wiltshire... good to see the Swindon fans still think very highly of us!

Swinedon call us 'Screwsbury' on Townend. Pretty poor being as we never screw anyone over. Mainly tribunals and refs who do the screwing.

Its a bit rich that they attempted not to pay us for ages, and its annoyed them we asked for the money...
Lets be honest we did well out of Collins. By selling him to Swindon we got money for him.. if he had gone direct to Scotland last summer we would have got nothing...
And he never scored against us, and they did nothing with him, and they have had another financial meltdown which has taken them to likely promotion candidates to probs down our end of the tables this season.
Who's had a better year?

Now that the Swindon forum is pointing this way again can I let their fans know I'll be having an extra pint before your visit so I've got something to go in your collection buckets.

well I was sure, but some people seem to think its profit, so am questioning myself.
but usually its on fee rather than profit.

"Sorry my bad, I didn't mean to offend the 6 fingered inbred taffs"
from a swindle fan who calls himself 'Peter Venkman' (an insult to a classic 80s ghost busting movie!) on their townend forum. Just declaring the state of his intelligence and his shocking understanding of geography . Now where is one of those face palm memes!

Good to know Swindon fans are so generous they wouldn't have minded losing their top goalscorer to a rival club that delayed the fee-setting tribunal and then stalled on paying what they owed. They must be better people than us, well done them.
That generosity will stand their club in good stead when it's time to send the collection buckets round the County Ground.

I see James is still as thick as two short planks.
"Happy to have signed for HIBBS this morning"
Some Hibs fans don't seem too happy he can't spell..
