Great entertainment tonight, shame only 2000 turned up to watch.
1st half we dominated, and were unlucky to only be 2-0 up, with Summerfield, 'Bearsfield', Marsden, Bradshaw, Taylor and Parry all putting in a very good performance. Two very good team goals, with quick, incisive passing leading up to the goals.
2nd half we never got going first 20mins, and they obviously got a bollocking from Clark at Half-Time (At some points I thought we were going to have to use all our subs due to their reckless tackling), and came out with their noses up. Unlucky goal, with a 25-yard deflected strike. They continued to dominate, and their second goal was a delicious curling striker from Burke 20 yards out. We missed Summerfield in midfield, up until our 3rd goal. A lovely 20-yard lob from Parry, before Jones then provided a 4th, with some neat footwork, before firing in the winner from 20 yards, with a left foot effort into the bottom corner.
Man of the Match: Bearsfield
Here's hoping JT is fit come August 3rd, COYB.

The pre=season trends continue: very entertaining game, good town goals, lots of energetic, creative play, great fitness but sadly more injuries. Well done Town

Did gt walk off? was it a knock or did he pull up? Blimey, I know the squad's a bit threadbare, but is it so bad that the manager had to play!? o dear! long day :-)

their second goal was a delicious curling striker from Burke 20 yards out. As I recall, he scored a decent goal against us last pre-season after being the subject of some crowd merriment at his initial ineptitude and tetchiness. Annoying bugger.

Brian Liitle in block 2 making notes. Clapped the third goal and then left quickly after the fourth goal. What does he do these days?

As far as I know, Brian Little has been working with John Marsden for a short while & may well have something to do with Marsden coming to the Meadow.
