Just got back from a freezing cold Dover! Have t say was a very poor performance today. To some extent though I have to blame Quinn! Whenever he plays himself it deterimnes our style of play. This was apparant today again. Everything was aimed for his head for flick ons. To much hoofing. Okay, it did pay off to some extent with Lowe picking up his flick on for the opener, but the rest of the game we didn't have any ideas. Our crossing was terrible, and when there was a good ball into the box, we had no movement at all and chances went begging. Margate seemed to have much more fight than us, especially after going a man down. Players in my opinion to come out with credit were Aiston and Street, although the defence was reasonably solid too! Was a well taken goal from Lowe, although we hardly had an attempt on goal before that. It seemed like the team was afraid to shoot. Banim too, kept a cool head to slot in the second. Man of the match - Rioch, didn't put a foot wrong the whole time he was on!

Ok so how long was Gregor on then ? and- against one striker, and ten men.
You are right about the play - town don't play the hoofing game very well, Rogers isn't used to it and is never in position for the head-ons.

think Rioch may have been on for 15-20 seconds perhaps...at a push! Bing down in London haven't managed to get to may games this season, but am I right in saying that when Quinn playes, we hoof it a hell of a lot more than usual! Serious question, as the only games I've seen without Quinn were Hereford and Gravesend. We played some lovely stuff then!

I do, but that's not me - I'm Simon. Will be at Dagenham though. I did randomly bump into a Shrews fan wearing a Salop shirt in Croydon a couple of months ago. Never got his name but maybe it's him. He also knows another Shrews fan in Croydon. I told him about this board, don't know if he got around to loking at it. Maybe we could start the 'Croydon Shrews'...

"but am I right in saying that when Quinn playes, we hoof it a hell of a lot more than usual! "
did you see any games last season? That was the basis of our attack; but it worked as Jemmo & Luke had an understanding , and made it work. This season, for whatever reason, the front 2 or 3 are changing nearly every week.
