Terrible, especially when you see that clubs such as Wolves will get £48m over the next 4 years

I couldn't care less what they think down the road, doesn't change my views/opinions on the badge. Let them laugh, we will be the ones going to Coventry and Preston while they go to Nuneaton and Barrow (if they survive)

I think it's about time the FA start suspending clubs who get into such a financial mess - dock them 10pts if ithappens once, and relegate them to the next lower division if it happens again.
If I went to the Bank Manger to ask for a mortgage whilst heavily in debt i'd get laughed out of his office!

You have to feel that Hereford will struggle in the Conference next season

and we're laughing a stock on their messageboard for the badge petition b******s, reality check salop! We were a laughing stock on their messageboard for the badge when it was announced. And on Walsall's And on Telford's But it is hardly a "laughing stock" when even your rivals say things like "I'd want rid of that frankly embarrassing badge." "in truth I wish them well ridding themselves of that god-awful clip art badge"

I think it's about time the FA start suspending clubs who get into such a financial mess - dock them 10pts if ithappens once, and relegate them to the next lower division if it happens again. If I went to the Bank Manger to ask for a mortgage whilst heavily in debt i'd get laughed out of his office! Sure, if you have a club like Pompey who are reckless, spending money they dont have but there is a big difference between the Pompeys and Luton's of this world and the likes of Hereford, if they, as they appear to be are in financial trouble, it is not as a consequence of reckless abandonment but thru the sheer struggle of trying to run a football club on gates of 2,500, a situation exacerbated further when all the millions in football seem to bypass the lower leagues. As such, they have always had to adopt a pretty cautious approach when spending money is concerned, even the season they went up 5 years or so ago it was with a large nucleus of loanee's and they came straight back down the next year as they had to be cautious and not throw what little money they had at it, it was a risk and it didnt pay off for them but for them with the few revenue streams they have , they have to be careful not to over invest as it could jepordise the club itself, a situation that we may have found ourselves in if we hadnt got ourselves a decent chairman and a new ground, it was only about 24 years ago i remember watching us scr@pe a draw at home to Hull infront of around 2,700 fans at the meadow; a few more years of that and we would have found ourselves up the s**tter. Unfortunatley for HUFC, it looks like their are seriouly tough times ahead unless they can bounce straight back up again but to be quite honest this **** em attitude some on here seem to have coz we will be playing coventry and Preston next year is a little embarrassing, what goes around and all that.

Id argue that some of it is self inflicted, rather than just being down to the size of the club etc
I occasionally read Bulls Banter and they have often complained about some of the poorer players who have landed 2 year contracts on relatively big wages, surely thats down to the management/board rather than bad luck?
I also gather there's been off the field improvements which GT was regularly criticised for not doing. However under him they were often making profits so whilst he was not investing in the club, he was not spending money they could not afford. I of course dont know the entire situation at Hereford but it would appear that they have been spending more the past few years than they were under GT. Something which their fans were very much in favour of.
Finally why should I have any sympathy for Hereford after the past few years of them mocking our out of ground stadium, our failure to get promotion and our so called financial problems. I dont want them to go bust but Im not going to shed a tear because they are relegated and may spend a few years in the wilderness.

Tend to agree with Bertymax. The Hereford chairman has identified a problem and I imagine will be cutting costs where possible to ensure HUFC continue to operate during the summer months.
Not really what you want to hear as a fan I expect but nevertheless trying to make sure the club lives within its means rather than anything else.
