I must be in a minority of 1, I remember the Richards/Daniels tackle, I personally feel that it was a 50/50 ball and both players went for the ball, Daniels injury was very unfortunate, but if had been the other end and it was our striker and there keeper, then there would be a different outlook. The injury to Daniels was horrific, however I think it was not malicious and was a sporting injury!! For once Downie I agree with you, someone posted that the frustration with the ref is in an inverse proportion to how bad the Town are playing. We've never had a good ref when we've lost.

I think Gornell missed the ball completely and got the keeper, whereas Richards got the ball and his follow through got Daniels!!

I thought it was a foul on Daniels hence a poor refereeing decision. However bad decisions benefit us too - I just can't think of one at the moment I do remember going mad at Andy D'Urso when he refereed us at Exeter several years ago. Steve Jagielka the ball round the 'keeper, only to be fouled. D'Urso gave the free-kick but only booked the 'keeper, much to the delight of the home fans. The 'keeper went on to make a wonderful save minutes later. Fortunately we won the game anyway (1-0, Kevin Jobling) but it was still a bloody terrible decision.

Ok I take it back. Deadman has been absolutely dreadful so far - he got loads of abuse as he left the field right below the town fans.
