With the new flood defences around Frankwell the water will be channelled more through its existing boundaries rather than out into the streets. This will raise the level at the Meadow part of the river increasing the chance for flooding of the ground. The speed of increase and decrease in the river level will be quicker leading to a shorter prediction time of problems.
Of course this could be all wrong!
Time to raise the pitch level?

I don't think the Frankwell scheme will affect other parts of town - the amount of water held by Frankwell during flooding periods is negligible when compared to the volume of water passing through the Severn.
Er...I think

the simple answer is to join the river where the loop almost meets (its less than an inch on the map) ;D
then build car parking space on the old loop of the river
the meadow can stay, plus will have access to the riverside
why hasn't anyone thought of this before ?
start digging now from the dana to coton hill
the project called be called the severn tunnel another original idea ;D
