Fair play to GT. He has certainly made us Cup heros again, as opposed to the shambles were we under Peters and Simpson.

Brilliant result tonight, well down Salop, fingers crossed we can get a nice payday away at somewhere like Old Trafford or The Emirates in the 3rd round The anomaly of the early stages of the season so far is that we have had 2 fantastic cup wins, firstly away at Derby who are 4/4 in the Championship to date and then against a new top flight side whose line up included most of the squad from their game against Wigan, but a less than average start in the league. The Derby result didn't help us in the next league match, fingers crossed that this result can be the platform for a few wins on the trot in the league now

great result town such a shame 1000+ including me were priced out of it ecstatic, happy, gutted, annoyed all in one Totally agree. Although the right pricing I'd say a lot more than a 1,000. Including possibly many first timers who could have been hooked after a game like that. Opportunity missed!

Not quite sure what to make of this result and the team in general.
Clearly if we're given space to play we are a match for anyone and can play some great stuff. However it's one thing getting decent cup results but not a lot of good if we roll over and give up if a side puts a bit of physical pressure on us as Oxford did last week. I can't help but think we might be a fair weather team
Some how Turner has to work out how to transfer form like tonight into league form - fingers crossed he can do it as it's clear the quality is there just that bit of bite and heart that's lacking perhaps

Including possibly many first timers who could have been hooked after a game like that. Opportunity missed! I echo this completely. Just what a game, was truly epic and end to end stuff but I thought we were on top for most of the second half. If this was my firsts ever Town game, I really would want to come back for more, could have had 7,000+ there tonight and new fans if Roland priced it right, he may be regretting it now. I just really am shocked at what I just saw, nights like this is why I'm proud to be a Town fan

I can't help but think we might be a fair weather team Some how Turner has to work out how to transfer form like tonight into league form - fingers crossed he can do it as it's clear the quality is there just that bit of bite and heart that's lacking perhaps As Wibbin said, Swansea gave us no time on the ball, they were at least 2yards quicker than us, we just had to dig in and weather the storm. For the first 10 mins we did'nt get a kick, they just passed the ball to death from one side to the other and back, making us run. The crowd even gave our lads a cheer when we finally got hold of it. You could see that Tate was class, but they had no real cutting edge, and Sharps and SCS played well. Chances came and were missed, but i thought they would up the tempo and kill us off.....it never came. Interesting to hear their Manager after the match, he praised the Town and said the best team won. He did say , however, that the team he sent out was good enough to win the game, but , it seemed their minds were'nt on the game, they did,nt perform. They had last seasons top scorer in the Championship and players with a lot of Championship experience and internationals. It may have been a "second "team, but it was full of good experienced players who should of shown their class. Make no mistake about it, this was a great win for us, regardless. Most of the Swans players should be knocking on Brendans door asking why they are not in the first team..... after this they will get their answer. Conversely, our team was full of players in possession of a first team shirt, and showing that they have no intention of letting it go. Sorry, but for those who did not go, for whatever reason, you missed a superb performance by the lads. Maybe you will get the chance to go to the 3rd round match, and enjoy anothe rclassic. I hope so.
