On the other hand, Ashley Young is a great signing.

On the other hand, Ashley Young is a great signing. How about neither of them are poor or great based on all of two games? Good finish by United's top scorer 'own goal'

Got Young in my Fantasy football team! 2 assists and MOM! So have i, but will be get any credit for the second goal? Im not watching, got it on 5live and they say its being given as an own goal. I have Young in my team so i want the points....but iv just remember i put 'any own goal' for next goalscorer on William Hill, 14/1, either way im glad it went in Edit; My William Hill account hasnt changed and it says i have no open bets....yet BBC say its an own goal, so im not going to get any money or points on Dream Team? What the ****!

Weakness maybe...3 points is 3 points. I'd say Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal et. al. have far greater weaknesses! Title number 20 on the way!

i have no idea how much he cost or where he come from, or his history i didnt even know hernandez was injured as hes in my fantasy side you know more about united that i do but one thing you dont know is you dont right them off before the final whistle goes anyway speaking of expensive players you'd have thought someone that cost a lot of money might be expected to hit the target from the penalty spot
Hernandez was in my fantasy side too, as was captain Rooney so Haven't written anyone off Pilch, I knew Utd would win it and I knew that if I so much as made one post in here that it would be the one quoted by yourself How very petty about Suarez, especially considering the likes of Rooney and Berbatov have missed penalties too. But let me guess, you don't know how much they cost so I might aswell drop that point? Got my bet the wrong way round aswell, Chelsea win, and draw in that one, never mind...

OMG double standards Pilch, you were the first to drag up the past... well Suarez didn't miss that penalty today did he? Speaking of replacing keepers, all the evidence at the moment sacks up to De Gea being another Taibi, Barthez, Howard or Carroll, as opposed to another Van Der Sar. I'm not saying that is how it will turn out, but to play two games and make a mistake in both is good going

Yes, but he couldn't hack it at United. Being number 1 at such a big club, and the pressures it brings can break a man. I've seen enough of De Gea with Athletico to know he's a good keeper, but if he can't handle the pressure he's doomed to fail.

Dear o dear day 2 of the season and the scouse fans resorting to the past already Pathetic beyond belief The amount of swerves you've done in this topic is unbelievable, first you tried to defend De Gea (even the great Fergie said it was a mistake so it must be true), then you decided to invent some bitterness from me, and then at the third time of asking you bought Liverpool into it, the only surprise being it you three posts to do so

I don't give a monkeys about Man Utd or Liverpool since I am a Shrewsbury Town fan I was really surprised that Man Utd signed De Gea. I saw him twice last season and wasn't impressed with him either time. First time was for Athletico Madrid in the Europa League. I thought they were fielding their Reserve keeper as thought he couldn't possibly be first choice with the two howlers in that game. I thought he looked a real clown. Second time was for Spain's Under 21's. He only had one thing to do all night which was to stop a powerful shot that came at a good height and position for the keeper, he kept it out with a poor punch which put his team under pressure when catching the ball was easier. I know people will say that is the European way but he was under no pressure and had plenty of sight of the shot. It would not surprise me if he turned out like David James, fantastic shot stopper, does really well but you are always holding your breath for the next really bad mistake.

Your comeback to the penalty miss
It was in the past and Rooney and berbatov have missed one a few years back
If that's the level of banter this season As Duncan banatyne would say
I'm out!
