Davis interviewed on radio said he had a place in his heart for the club but wanted to play in a higher league next season Taylor however wants to stay with us next year and sign a new contract

Good news about Taylor, but saying it is a different thing than doing it.
I'd still be very surprised if Bradshaw and Taylor are still Shrewsbury Town players come the start of next season.

Davies is too inconsistent for me, and seems to need too much time on the ball. He seems to prefer slow build up play, passing backwards or sideways, rather than looking for the killer through ball that someone like Tony Kelly used to pick out.

So our midfield five currently are Wroe, Davis, Disley, McIntyre, McAllister. We could well only have Wroe and McAllister next year, which gives GT scope to strengthen.

Wouldn't bother me if none of the out of contract players were here next season.

Davis has been good and should be thanked for what he's done for us. But both parties should move on. I like Wroe and I like Mcallister. I do think that it should be thank you and good bye to Disley and McIntyre.

Some more goodnews/badnews, as i was told it tonight. Kuffdam went on to the pitch after the match to thank the players, the nearest one to him being Matt Sadler. He thanked him for all his efforts during the season, and asked if he may have his shirt as a memento. Matt told him that if the team were going to Old Trafford he would have given him the shirt. However, as tonights game was going to be his last one for Shrewsbury, through tear filled eyes, he said he wanted to keep it for himself. Obviously a player who feels strongly about the Club, but whose future, for whatever reason, seems to lie elsewhere.

Good news about Taylor, but saying it is a different thing than doing it. I'd still be very surprised if Bradshaw and Taylor are still Shrewsbury Town players come the start of next season. Based on several conversations with Bradshaw's Dad I think it is pretty certain that Tom Bradshaw and Jon Taylor will be both Shrewsbury players next season

The things I've heard from Sadler makes me think that he would want to be here if we had gone up, but he might look to a higher division if we didn't

It will be a shame if Sadler does leave as he always give 100%.he thing is though he is good enough to play at a higher level and no one can deny that.
Good luck to the bloke if he does leave and thanks for all he has done in a town shirt this season.

Good luck to the bloke if he does leave and thanks for all he has done in a town shirt this season. I'd echo those sentiments completely. One of our most consistent players and quite clearly too good for League two, wouldn't keep a grudge against him if he signed for a higher division club. Good luck to Matt in the future and thanks for your efforts over the season. His highlight was probably that scissor kick against Hereford.

I too would like Sadler to be here next season. But can understand why he would like to play higher. I think he desperately wanted us to go up. He was the player at Cheltenham who came to the crowd to see how Bury v Wycombe had gone and looked completely crestfallen when we told him.

Sadler would be an epic signing.
If Davis wants to "play at a higher level" then he may want to watch the highlights of tonight's game with a coach.

Mr 100% for me this season C AND YES I HAVE HAD A CRY TONIGHT AND I'M NOT A MAN FOR TEARS BUT **** IT WE'LL STILL BE THERE NEXT YEAR AND FOREVER. COYB

Davis was poor at the Accrington game and also the two play-offs.
However, when he arrived we were in seventh, having played more games than everyone above us and in real danger of dropping like Rotherham and Port Vale did.
He then played every game and we ended up in 4th, one point off going up automatically. Which suggests he had a positive impact on our team. The fact that Wolves have given him a contract extension suggests that people with more footballing knowledge than most of us, also rate him.

I agree with Shrew54. He has a very good future ahead of him. He may not be good enough for the Premier League but he will certainly have a good career in League 1/Championship.
Lets give the lad a break about his form in the playoffs, said it time and again kids form is always up and down like a yoyo while they learn the game and he is only a kid.

Don't see what all the fuss is all about with Taylor, sorry just my opinion. Wasn't aware Bradshaw was out of contract so I stand corrected there. I'd offer him a new deal

Alan Knill was at the game last night. Presumably watching potential recruits to the Scunny cause.
He's a manager who likes his wingers (and can spot a good one too) - so probably watching Tomlin, but might have been having a look at Robinson and/or Taylor too.
Luckily (sort of) Taylor didn't have his best game, so doubt he was impressed - and anyway, he's not very tall...

for what its worth i hope we keep craig disley although thats prob going to be unlikely as he does not seem to be in turners plans, people keep going on about stats and how wroe and davis performed but you forget that when disley and mcallister were playing we actually reached top spot, all teams will have blips and its a squad game but i cant help feeling that they both have not been given a fair crack at it , turner loves wroe but hopefully he will give disley and mcallister the chance with him but i doubt it, people seem to love leslie but how many chances has he had . we will all have our opinions but at least we prob all agree we need that 20+ goal striker but who ? will le fondre stay at rotherham his stock seems to have dropped regards higher teams coming for him, donaldson and mcdonald will prob go elsewhere, chris porters been released maybe we can be persuaded to do a holt to kick start his career ...one things for sure im footballed out , soon be august though lol..
