if you were in charge of the music friday what would be the final 5 songs you'd play to try and get the crowd going ? i think i'd pick a few traditional songs that people can bang, clap, sing, whistle or hum to

Glad all over would be a good choice. At the old ground Queens 'We will rock you' was played quite often, maybe that too.

M People - Moving on Up. Gotta keep positive! Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast - May as well play both sides of the prayer market Faith - George Michael - Gotta have some, and sure it will go down well in the gents' at halftime Rod Stewart & Tina Turner - It takes Two. Not heard of a catchy song called It takes Three, but two is enough for the 90 minutes

Actually, I gotta feeling would be a stonking choice One of the worst 'songs' ever, how it is so popular I will never know. I don't care what music they play, but it would be nice to get Ring Of Fire going with everyone swinging their scarfs around.

Lyrically the song that springs to mind straight away is the Smiths 'Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want'.
So please please please let me, let me, let me Let me get what I want this time
Definitely the most apt, not sure it's one for pumping the crowd up before hand, mind!

Anything other than the Robbie Williams medley we normally get before kick off.

Good suggestions but for me the ultimate would be the vast majority of fans singing together before kick off. An obvious one would be Hey Jude because it is catchy and easily sung. If we could all hold up our scarves it would create a great atmosphere for the players. I for one would go for it!

The tunes need to be uplifting so it's time for the soul men to get involved or a bit of classic ska with Toots and the Maytals This played at a Newcastle game I was at once which was a good first song after a home win and there's always scope for the Nutty Boys or The Pogues or this brilliant song

If we go out friday we should play 'I fought the law' by the clash in defiance of why we didn't go up automatically.
I fought the law and the law won just about sums up how we've been stiffed by officials this season.
