The town website is urging town to be the 12th man by wearing club colours and being vocal. we need to tell everyone we know who are going to wear their town tops. but how will we get the whole stadium rocking when most people decide not to sing and get behind the lads GTBA

Surely the club should reduce the cost of the kit as £39 is alot for a shirt than is out of date in less than a month?

Daft as it sounds I was going to ask before the game on Friday what kit we were set to wear. We should have worn the away kit if we were allowed to do so. We’ve done nowt against Torquay in the blue and white. Bad feng shui.

Sounds like there is a lot of stock left in the club shop that needs shifting ahead of a new kit being launched in the summer.....

I think most will wear blue and try and be vocal but the club need to do more......
like a proper DJ / warm up with loud music to get the crowd going
As many ex-players perhaps 'The Team of 79' on the pitch prior to the kick-off
Even ball boys (or volunteer fans) waving flags for the whole game Perhaps a drummer that knows what he's doing in either West or South stand
Just do something extra rather than just ask us to wear club colours and make a noise
Make the torquay players as uncomfortable as possible prior to the match - they turned the heating up full in the away dressing room!

I do like the idea of ballboys/fans waving large club flags on the pitch prior to kick off, it looked spectacular at Dortmund and I believe they also do it at Norwich.
With another full house impending, this game would have been ideal for every single fan in the west stand to raise blue and amber placards above their head as the teams ran out, maybe blue ones with 'SALOP' or 'STFC' in large amber letters?

Dont get me going on Sky mate, they have achieved their objective and taken the football supporter out the ground and into the living room. what the club have asked for here is all supporters to get colours on and get behind the team, nothing wrong there, create atmosphere for the players to thrive upon

Never really understood this demand for loud music before the match to 'get the crowd going'. The best way to get the crowd going is for people to join in singing during the warm-up. At Bury away in the Play-Offs the atmosphere was belting during this time. When we played Wrexham away one Christmas Sunday 5-6 years ago and it was a midday kick-off they marched all the people who went on the train straight into the ground an hour before kick-off. With no bar and nothing else to do everyone just spent that hour singing, making one hell of a racket. By the time the teams came out the place was rocking. We also scored two in the first 10 minutes so maybe that had an effect, who knows. We don't need loud music and people geeing us up, just more people to join in.

Sounds like the introductions of Strictly Come Dancing. Wonder what other stirring announcements we'll be treated to? "Ladies and Gentleman, this season's crushing disappointment was brought to you in conjunction with Salop Leisure, our valued partners and sponsors of the South Stand...and on the back of that early Torquay goal, the club would like to warmly thank Greenhous for their continued support...'

How about passing the 'ROWLEY 434' flag over the west stand just before kick off? Would look good for the cameras

I've seen it twice at The Brittania and Moss Rose, get the impression it's done Bermuda Triangle type disappearing act - What better time to reappear than in a massive game for club and supporter and see it 'surfed' on tv too.

considering the cameras are in the west stand why not pass it along the south stand or maybe (bit of wishful thinking) get east stand to do it. would be good also if as many people get to the ground as early as possible then why not get behind the boys when they're warming up. i was there for about 2 in block 19 and we sang for the whole hour and throughout the game. We need everyone to join in so it makes a huge impact on the team and also i believe we are more hostile when we are louder

Some may sport suitable cufflinks though!
