Apologies if this has previously been posted but have only just seen the link on the STFC website Link------> Sponsor Mark PetersMany have commented on the sterling efforts of Mark in cycling to all away games this season but I don't think he has had enough coverage elsewhere and not received the sponsorship to reflect his challenge. If you want to sponsor him please follow the link above

This is quite impressive. I am going to post this over on my side of the pond with the Philadelphia Union supporters. Hopefully that will generate a few more dollars! I'll be sending some money along myself when I get paid next week!

Has Mark or anyone associated with him got in touch with Late Kick Off or The Football League show? It seems like the sort of thing they might be interested in doing a feature on.

Great suggestion Maybe Late Kick Off could do a feature on him cycling to a forthcoming away game, maybe the Hereford one?

It shouldn't be overlooked on here that he gets free travel home on the Superblues coaches.

I've emailed the football league show, I hope Mark will be ok with us doing this, as I, like most others do not know him.
I've also added to my facebook page and the London Shrews page.
Current total is at £1369 - come on, let's get that number rising.

Cheers for pinning this Pilch. Seems to have had the desired affect.
I couldn't believe how little he had been sponsored and how little coverage there had been until I saw the link on Shrewsweb

Cheers Pilch, as someone who is biking 1,000 miles in 9 days in June for charity I think Mark's efforts are unbelievable! Great effort, great charity - would be brill if he could get somewhere near his fundraising target.

we met him outside the ground when we arrived at 12.30pm. He said he arrived in aldershot at 10am after two day's traveling. A bit pink from the sun but in good spirits! Maybe get the team to cycle to hereford to ensure they get some energy in their legs & play alot better!!

Here he is outside 'The Herdsman' before the Hereford game Not sure how I managed to make it look like there was nobody else around- it was about half 12, full of Town fans with a ring of yellow jacketed PCs 'keeping the peace'. Great effort and a nice bloke to chat to. Attachments:

Whilst it is a hell of an achievement, and I have donated, I didnt appreciate Mallet pressganging me and others in the pub on Saturday. Mark also looked a bit sheepish coming out to thank everyone, after what to me looked like another Mallet idea

I was in the same pub and let's just say that subtlety is not a Mallet strength.
