How many for the Accrington game then? It is time that a bigger attendance than Bradford City at home at the start of the season was beaten (6,993) given the prospect of promotion. Even as the opposition's fan base can't match Bradford's can enough home fans fit in to exceed 7,000? My estimate is 6,999 for Monday.

now is the time for everyone in Shrewsbury to back the lads and give the team the support it deserves. Everyone... ask a friend that wouldn't normally go. See if they might just be persuaded to get down there. Stanley hold the record for the lowest visiting support to our ground with just 28. There should be ten times that number on from Lancashire on a bank holiday and a place in League One potentially up for grabs. If we don't get 7000 on for this I think that would be a poor show. Massive games now every one of 'em and we need to rally round to get some additional numbers. 7,104

I believe the record is 7,707 for the play off match with Bury?
I, too, don't think we'll break the 7,000 mark but think it'll be high.
Bearing in mind, Accrington should bring 5-600.
I'll go for 5,789.

Given that it is a bank holiday and people may well be off doing other things I'm not sure we will see 6,000+ tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong.

I'll go for 6,500 with Accy bringing 350 ish.
Whilst there fans lack in numbers they certainly make up for in terms of noise and really get behind their team.
Would be nice if the more Salop fans could rise to the occasion tomorrow rather than the usual lot in blocks 18/19.

Turner was quoted in the Chronicle as saying a little bit more noise would be appreciated. Did seem very subdued against Stockport after the cracking atmosphere against Macclesfield.

the 200 from accy should be put in block one. a couple of portaloos and a table with a tea urn on and a burger van in the corner between the north and east stand could sort them out. thats all we get at their place. open the north stand to town fans pay cash on the gate it was done for the wem/drayton game with almost 500 in the ground get the place rocking with me and mrs lenny whipping the crowd up give timmy mallet some form of outfit as well allow drums and vuvuzalas (even go down the gary peters bring your pots and pans route) get someone on the mike with more than "ladies and gentlemen the referee is calling the teams out please take your seats" or whatever it is he mumbles. get some music blasting out and everyone sing for the whole two hours

No vuvuzelas!
And i hate bloody drums too..look how irritating that Wycombe bloke was until some sensible steward apparently threw him out at half time.
There can be a cracking atmosphere created without either of these. Vuvuzelas banned anyway..wish i could say the same for drums.

Will be great vocal support from Stanley if not in numbers..... but think we'll just break the 6K mark with 6087 - would be great if more town fans turn up for what is a massive game against the 'in form' team but I think not...............
I'm not sure if drums will be allowed in the away end following Wycombe when their drummer with drum was thrown out for no obvious reason - heard it was decided in the control room that it was dangerous and this could result in banning drums, a bit like the green gate saga POWER CRAZY!!!

Was told that drums were band after your wycombe home game is that right mabasfc: hope not mate as your lot always make the noise of 10 times your number. Looking foward to a cracking atmosphere. How many do you reckon will travel? Good luck - but obviously not tomorrow - for the rest of the season!

I hope drums are band for away fans, too many teams turn up with about 10 lads singing and just constantly banging a drum, all you can here is the banging.

Stockport have played us twice at Greenhous Meadow and twice gone to the old Gay Meadow before hand, you would think they learn't we had moved the first time around. because Ed went for 5,789and got muddled, I will muddle his prediction around and go for 7,598 If we mean business then we should be looking at this sort of figure.

6,543 (412 from Accrington)
Wouldn't be surprised if it was 7,000+ though.
