Christ Ed, you're either a wind up merchant or an extremely miserable man. I even remember you moaning after the 7-0 against Gillingham a few years ago. It wasn't the perfect performance, and there's no denying Macclesfield were absolutely dire. But if you can't enjoy a 4-1 win which cements our position in the top three towards the end of the season, with a fairly big attendance on a sunny day, I really suggest you give up. Yes I prefer the town to win 4 - 3 in a competitive game rather than 7 - 0. Macclesfield were so bad today that is difficult to judge the quality of the towns performance. If you want to judge the game based on the scoreline and the weather rather than the quality of the game fine I prefer to look at the quality of the football played which in my opinion was hardly better than average Not bothered about goal difference then. Thought we are all town supporters who want town to win and win comfortably if possible, not neutrals who want to see two evenly matched sides.

When I go to the GM of course I want the Town to win, but I also want to see a competitive game between two teams playing good football. Yesterday in my opinion there was only one team on the pitch. So lets look what I wrote last night; It was a poor game Town deserved to win Macclesfield a very poor side An excellent performance by the ref. Which of those statements do you disagree with?

The first one, yes Macclesfield were poor but that doesn't make it a poor game. We would all take any win, 1-0, 2-1 or 4-1 but surely its preferable to win well than to just edge it.

It seems to me that all you want is the Town to win regardless never mind the quality. Thats fine I have no problem with that I just want to be entertained as well for my entrance money. If I thought I was going to see 23 games like yesterday I would not be renewing my season ticket.

Blimey cheer up. Yes Macc were poor yesterday but I don't think it was a poor game nor do I think we were poor. Enjoy it now for goodness sake there's a been a heck of lot worse stuff played this season.
I didn't see Hereford but for me Stockport were absolutely abysmal at Edgeley Park.

It wasn't a poor game at all !
By our skill we made them look very poor .
The ref had a good performance overall and i thought he had he made the correct decision with Harrold and their centre back back . Yes he pushed him in the back of the head but Harrold had elbowed him in the the ribs . Correct decision !
It was the lino on the West stand that made some bizarre decisions in the first half ( some for , some against ) which the ref gave as he presumed the lino had a better view . Better view or not he got a lot of the decisions wrong in the first half .

How about the one you conveniently left out from the list above? You know, the one about nobody putting in a performance that would be above average in League 1 and how that's a key fact? Odd that you'd omit that one from your list of reasonable comments ...

If I thought I was going to see 23 games like yesterday I would not be renewing my season ticket. WHAT???............. If I thought I could see results like that every fortnight I'd be there every game. Win 4-1 and you wouldn't want it every game - Think you need to get a life.

Just admit you made yourself look a tit for what you posted. Pot and Kettle come to mind Martin, by the way GT did not comment on the match as a whole. WHAT???............. If I thought I could see results like that every fortnight I'd be there every game. Win 4-1 and you wouldn't want it every game - Think you need to get a life. If all that matters to you is the result so be it, I actually prefer to watch a competitive game of football which hopefully the Town will win. I would suggest that those who only appreciate a game if the Town win are the ones who need to get a life

Just like they arent for possession, pretty passing or step-overs. The only thing that really matters is scoring more goals than the opposition and everything else is a bonus. I don't want an away team to turn up at the Meadow full of confidence, and prepared to give us a game, I much prefer one in poor form, demolarised and wanting to get back on the coach ASAP. Doubt many will disagree with that.

Can't believe someone is moaning about a 4-1 win. Your not going to get nip and tuck games in these sort of matches. Teams like Macc and Hereford come along and it is our job to make them look poor and beat them soundly. Leave the close competitive stuff to the big matches and against promotion rivals and play the rest off the park and beat them as we have done this season. Have you forgotten Horse the games against lower league opposition last season where both the teams that went down caused all told woe to us at home including losing to Darlington.
If you've kept up your season ticket after watching crap like that last year then why are you looking to not renew after winning 4-1. Baffling. You'll still get your closely fought games against your divisional peers but sometimes it is good to see us soundly thrash the lesser teams in a one sided affair so we can preserve our finger nails and not get put through the angst that we get during the close games. This angst made worse by officials denying us wins when we do have the close games against our peers refering to Port Vale and Wigglesworth Wanderers, I mean Wycombe Wanderers
Just enjoy the win and get ready for the crunch games, Accrington being the biggest.
