Down to fifth. Which of course is no disaster but its so tight at the top that any slip seems to have huge repercussions. First defeat for a while, we are still on a decent run but that is still a kick in the pips... Mind you, if Burton can go to Northampton and get a result then we should also be more than capable...

Be interesting to hear what those returning from the game think. On the face of it, our record against the better teams suggests we're not quite up to it. Anyway, apart from Chesterfield no-one's really been consistent. I think we'll scrape into the play offs.

Outplayed.
Had chances - Collins in particular who missed an absolute sitter from 6 yds out, and Taylors effort in the first half was a cracker. But that was it. Bury totally deserved the win, some lovely football from them and a willingness to fight for the ball in midfield which we totally failed to do. Wright should have been the first sub tonight - totally anonymous.
Work to do if we are to have any promotion ambitions.................

Be interesting to hear what those returning from the game think. Indeed it will. The commentary team certainly gave the impression that at times we played well and were more than in the game at times. Maybe just one of those days... Lets hope so anyhows and we're set for a decent performance and result on Saturday...

Think that's our biggest home defeat since the relegation season 6/7 years ago.

Total and utter dross from Town tonight I'm afraid. Ok you can argue if We'd taken our chances it might have been a different game but Bury out passed us, wanted it more and had much the better tactics
Letting Robinson go is starting to look like a bad decision as on current form Harrold and Collins ain't going to score in a month of Sunday's and Wright is off key
Nothing on the bench to change it and picking Goldson in defence sadly was a gamble that didn't pay off. Very very poor day at the office

FT Everton 0 Reading 1 Just catching up with the scores... Mate was over here not too long back, when Everton got the win at Chelsea. Big Everton fan. He was flying after that result. Then to lose out to Reading. A cruel mistress is football... Seems the Chelsea Manchester game was a cracker from the BBC reports. Just trying to catch some of the highlights, Fergie on at the minute discussing the ref and a number of decisions that changed the game. I'm sure though there was nothing in them... You couldn't make it up...

Looking on my phone The BBC website has credited Lowe with their second goal and it's all about him! Thats ridiculous, I'd rather it be an own goal than him score against us and beat record. ****

on current form Harrold and Collins ain't going to score in a month of Sunday's and Wright is off key That's one of the main worries I suppose. Harrold has never scored many in his career (although he contributes in other ways) & Collins is still very inexperienced.

On another night Taylors shot would have gone in instead of hitting the bar, Collins would have had a hatrick well before Bury scored there second. Once they got the second there heads were up and ours went down and the schmuacher free kick summed it all up. The gods were against us tonight for some reason, games like these could go either way one way and it did in favour of the opposition. Sharps was really missed as we just didn't look too well organised at the back as normal.

sounds like one of those games where the opposition their chances, we didn't take ours..... Spot on, coupled with some poor defending. But of course, to the B&A experts, it is now all doom and gloom!

Made some mistakes, but overall definitely a young player with a bright future. Strange to hear some supporters calling for Leslie to be brought on, when a few weeks ago the same were calling for him to be subbed. Would like to see someone up front with a bit of pace. Harrold and Collins are not speed merchants, and, as someone said, seem to be carbon copies of each other. Whats happened to Bradshaw? And please, after one setback, can we stop calling certain players rubbish/s**te etc when a few weeks ago they were so called "stars."Fickle or what.

Football's a cruel game and that's why we love it so dearly.
First half - we hit the post and bar twice quickly - 30 seconds later Bury are infront.
Second half - Collins skies one from under the bar and 60 seconds later Bury have their second.
After that it was game over and Bury were capable of scoring as many as they really desired which was dissapointing but not surprising.
There's a long way to go this season and the sensible thing to do is not to over-react. However come Saturday at 5pm people will either be delirious or suicidal - ultimately that is what football seems to do to many!

That third goal was an absolute belter.
I wish we had someone who could do that

We certainly created enough chances in both halves, but the second Bury goal killed us. I was a bit disappointed with Collins' finishing. Think he's physically strong and brings people into play well, but he had a 'mare in front of goal last night.
