The Wrexham and Walsall derbies were great, Crewe always seems to lack something, Vale has picked up and Hereford definately has kicked on and up there with Wrexham and Walsall because of its situation as being capital of main rival west merician county of Herefordshire.
Still I would definately swap them for the big one, as a championship club if we can get there, Wolves away would be the mother of all derbies 28 miles down the road its the nearest out of the clubs in the top 5 divisions. Wolves wouldn't see us as a main derby but we can soon alter that, its a shame in the mid 80's they sank to divison 4 and we crossed paths when they came back up to whats now the championship and us down to league 1. I think we have never lost to them in a league match. I remember going there in 1992 i think and loosing in the league cup 6-1 before winning the 2nd leg 3-1. If i remember there was hostilities. West brom would be another good one as would Birmingham or villa which could happen if we can get there and if Doncaster and Scunny can do it then so can we. Also trips to Derby, Coventry and Leicester would be appreciated indeed.

Little bit of work still to be done.....

Wolves away would be a cracking derby. I was hoping we would get them in the League Cup when we got Stoke instead.

I wouldn't wish this scenario on any football club anywhere in the land. And I miss the Wrexham games.

So we are supposed to believe that Bickerton knew nothing about Vaughan's involvement and was prepared to front up a bid from a strangely named Company with little or no knowledge as to its membership?

Am surprised Bickerton isn't in the consortium too! Hey...i do sometimes get things right after all!

To have people like this is BAD for football however we may feel about the club involved. It's time the FA sorted things like this out because I for one am fed up with it all.
And yes, I do miss the Wrexham Derby, can't be bothered to hate anyone in football - life's too short - I only know that I wouldn't wish any of these people on to any football club. (Do like to beat Wrexham though!)

Couple of comments from "Red Passion."
Vaughan has apparently been seen with Steve Evans of Crawley at Carden Park this afternoon.
And for those of you who fancy a bit of light entertainment Bickerton is being interviewed on BBCs The Non League Show tonight and will be questioned on his knowledge of Vaughan's involvement. A podcast is available later.

For goodness sake, Vaughan, Bickerton, and everyone else plus Steve Evans - you honestly couldn't make it up.

You bottled it Saturday didn't you? Nice to see a Wrexham fan spat at a Crawley steward too. You deserve nothing! Arseh@le Can't legislate for 1 idiot! How's your saintly EBF group? Little angels... For what its worth, I hope Wrexham get back into the Football League and that people like Steven Vaughan stay well away from your club. Goodluck for the rest of the season.

Steve Evans is the manager of Crawley.
Wrexham played Crawley on Saturday away and play them again at home on Tuesday.
The Wrexham heirarchy being sighted in Crawley with him is almost certainly something to do with that fixture double-header.
Much like the likes of Westley and Martin Allen, Evans is a first class twit, but he isn't stupid. Why on earth would he want to leave the richest club in the Conference with which he's about to win the title with and get promoted into the league, for a club with less money further down the table who are less likely to get promoted?

Who said that Evans was planning to leave Crawley? I certainly didn't.
But perhaps some of the finances for the Vaughan bid are coming from the Crawley direction? Who knows?

And that should stop me wishing him on a club - any club - that has Bickerton and Vaughn involved? Where he is at the moment is regardless. Though when it all comes down to it I'd also wish Bickerton and Vaughn on the Crawley chairman and Evans - not saying they're going there though, sadly.

I'm just saying that I don't necessarily think you can read too much into sightings of Evans atm.
I really wouldn't wish Vaughan on any club however, even Crawley, who I've a lot less time for than I have for Wrexham.
