you never know, maybe this whole panorama thing may have been a shot across the bow of fifa.
maybe in the background, our bid team has been threatening to release more sensitive information.
Maybe the indignation at the bbc from the bid team was all an act.
Maybe we will get the world cup after all.
Maybe they will fix it for us to win it too!
Maybe i should go to bed...

We're favourites again. Odds at the moment: (courtesy of bet365) England 11/10 Russia 13/8 Portugal & Spain 4/1 Belgium & Holland 33/1 I'm pretty sure those odds are determined by the number of people putting money on them (they're a UK-based bookie so most money will be laid on England) and aren't really any indication of the likely outcome. The bookies will have no better idea than anyone else.

You may not be far off. These are mostly Fifa old boys who have made a wedge out of the game over the years through all sorts of dodgy stuff. Giving the world cup the England would show they were not afraid of accusation and actually help repair their image. That might eb the final swansong for some of them. Make a decision which makes them look innocent of the accusations against them, and then go off and retire with your illicit millions
