The two pots are listed below 50-50(ish) chance of a Prem team - I'd be very happy with Everton, Wolves, West Brom, Newcastle or West Ham. Think the seeding system is daft - only encourages the big boys to treat the cup like a training session.
Seeded: Everton, Birmingham, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Bolton, Wolves, Wigan, West Ham, Newcastle, West Brom, Blackpool, Burnley, Hull, Portsmouth, Leicester, Swansea, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Watford, Preston, Cardiff*, Sheffield United*, Reading*.
Unseeded: Leeds, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough, Huddersfield, Southampton, Colchester, Brentford, MK Dons, Rochdale, Bradford, Crewe, Accrington Stanley, Morecambe, Northampton, Oxford, Notts County, Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Southend, Leyton Orient, Tranmere, Sc***horpe*, Crystal Palace*, Norwich*.

Living in South London would have loved Palace, as only a 10 minute walk from my house, however it looks like the seedings have put paid to that. So I guess The Hammers has to be my next choice....

It has to be a seeded team v an unseeded team i take it? or is the seeding just to keep other seeded teams appart?

Would be good if you boys got Sheffield Utd I want Town (would be great craic with living in Shrews) and looking into it a bit more it seems if all 3 championship sides lose tonight then Wednesday would become seeded and then hopfully be drawn against Town at the Meadow!...awful lot of if's though

I suppose if you got Wolves away that'd be a nice away game for you, as it would us!

With 14 prems teams and 12 Championship teams in the seeded pot we've got a 54% chance of playing a premiership club, also there are some pretty attractive championship clubs there. Is the draw made so that half of the unseeded teams are at home and the other half are away? or do they pick a ball out of the hat each time to decide whether the seeded or unseeded side are at home?

The seeding is a joke.
It's blatantly there to ensure that all the small clubs get knocked out early, so the big boys end up with "juicier" games against each other to attract Sky viewers, thus ensuring they get all the money and attention.
Shameful.

The FA Cup I'm more bothered about, would like a run in that - but a macth (or two if we're lucky) against one of the bigger teams in this competition is fine by me.

You could also expect the premier s**t teams to put out a reserve 11, devalueing the next round anyway.

I'd like to play a big team too, which is why I want to reach the third round. The further you go, the more prize money you make and the more likely you are to draw a real big gun. The current set up is designed to prevent the likes of us from doing that, which is not what a genuine cup tournament should be about. We're at least as likely to get some garbage tie like Watford away (boring, the gate receipts will be paltry and we'll lose) in tonight's draw as we are someone like Everton or Wolves. I'd rather it was a level playing field and we had the chance to get someone like Accrington at home, thus giving us a crack at winning and drawing United in the third round.

would like an easier route to the third round, then a game against Tottenham Agree, I believe we've never played Tottenham.

Someone'll no doubt correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I read a while back that Spurs, Villa and Man Utd are the only three league teams we've never met in a competitive game.

We've played Villa in the league on four occasions that I can remember. They were in the old division 3 for a season in the 1970s and in the old division 2 for a season in the 1980s. Have we ever played Forest? I thought the three we've not yet played in a competitive game are Man Utd, Spurs and Forest?

Might well have been Forest I was thinking of. Spurs and Utd I'm 90% certain of, and I'm sure the third one was a Midlands club at any rate.

Spurs are the only team we have never faced in a competitive game. i don't know when we played other teams, but i always seem to here that its only spurs, saying its a curse because Harry Hotspur died in the battle of Shrewsbury
