Didnt get a clear view of it was it an easy decision for the ref or was he a touch harsh?

Looked off for me. 50/50 challenge, then mcintyre reacted straight in front of the ref. Doubt an appeal, not sure what the banning rules are but think that could be a 3 match ban. Didnt have much to say after being given it, might suggest guilt too. Looks like McCallster for Saturday then

Mcintyre is a fool, no sympathy from me. A dirty idiot who deserved the red card entirely. I don't understand why the fans applauded him off the pitch after a rediculous outburst.

I thought the Bradford guy retaliated first and then McIntyre but I doubt that helps his case.

I thought the Bradford guy retaliated first and then McIntyre but I doubt that helps his case. Exactly how I saw it, but I seemed the only one thinking it was the wrong decision. Booking looked fairer in my view, but I'm probably wrong. Shall have to see it again.

He just kicked out. A ridiculous rush of blood that could have jeopardised our ability to win the game. Very foolish.

Shame for Macca because he was my man of the match up to then, no sympathy though, looked more like Jackie Chan the way he kicked out at the Bradford player.

Its not the first time macca has done it... and kicking out infront of the ref, retaliation or not is pretty blameless...
Frankley could be a blessing, Maccalister looked quality when he came on I thought, some lovely toutchs to Wright and Disley...cant wait to see more of him

The bradford player made a bit of a meal of it, but a deserved red he lashed out needlessly and if we weren't so solid and resolute after he could have cost us with that long left of the game. However not a big macca fan and as mentioned and macallister looked excellent looked strong and passed the ball well, I imagine had he been match fit he would have started before macca anyway.

Blessing in disguise.
To suggest that Mcintyre was a man of the match candidate is laughable.

It is, but he's been lucky on previous occasions after behaving in a similar way. Old enough to know better.
A shame for him, because up until then he'd been playing well and had certainly done enough to merit retaining his place in for the next game.

I can't recall him retaliating like he did today but plenty of over zealous tackles, yes. He probably should have been sent off at home against Notts last season but he was by no means the only one on both sides on that occasion.

Can never understand when fans applaud one of their own players being sent off!
Ludicrously unprofessional behavior from McIntyre today, that on another day could have cost us. Fine him a weeks wages as a lesson to any player for showing such stupidity.
Thought he had a decent game otherwise, although gave the ball away cheaply on occasions and in dangerous areas.

Looks a bit silly on the TV, right infront of the Ref to. Foolish really.

I was enjoying the game until muppet McIntyre just retaliated to one of the Bradford players who had a little dig at him and we were under pressure for 10 mins or so, he's 33 later this year and is old enough and experienced enough to know better and we could've thrown the game away after it, obviously if you lash out at him your bound to get sent off so no complaints, we managed to continue to create good opportunities still in the last 25 mins even with 10 men.
His sending off is a blessing in disguise, he was rubbish last season in a shocking team, I've never liked him and McAllister looks impressive and it was good tactics by GT to bring Robbo off.
Is he banned for 3 league games or will he be banned for Tuesdays carling cup game?

It wasn't the highlight of his career. He said he couldn't sleep waiting to see if he had got a contract. If I was him, I'd have another sleepless night.

Bans don't kick in until 7 days after the offence I thought that they had changed the 7 day ruling and bans begin immediately.I seem to remember a Notts County player last season appealing over a sending off on a Saturday and if the appeal was unsuccessful he would have missed the Tuesday game following. The appeal was successful and he played. Maybe the League Cup does not count though.

Blessing in disguise. To suggest that Mcintyre was a man of the match candidate is laughable. Harsh, though nowhere near MoM, he did all the dirty work for the team and produced the pass of the match onto Wright's run. Mind you Shropshire Tenor made a good point that when players like Wright make intelligent runs it makes it easier for players like McIntyre to make the pass. Every team needs a McIntyre and every teams supporters will not appreciate the work they do.

Fine him a weeks wages as a lesson to any player for showing such stupidity. Agree 100% why applaud / cheer a Town player who has just got stupidly sent off and put a hard earned victory at risk.
