With Bradford likely to bring 500+ can anyone else see it being a bumper 7,000 +?

Bradford are expecting 1300 to travel according to our safety officer tonight at the Q & A ... Even Yorkshire police are making an appearance to check if the 25 they have banned this season turn up.

First match of season, and if the word has got out how well the lads are playing under Turner i'll go for a gate of just under 6500.

Well I certainly think there is a possiblity of 7,000.
5,700 Shrews fans
1,350 Bradford fans
Anybody think 6,000 Shrews fans will be there or is that pushing it?

Hopefully shropshire star and and radio shropshire will really push it this week and give the game plenty of promotion, new signings return of a legend from a golden era and encourage them to see the start of a new era

Bradford have sold just short of 800 as it stands, but they think the 1300 our safety officer quoted is about right.

You heard it here 3rd. A 6750 crowd with the interest in our new style of play and great new signings.

At last nights Q & A the optomism was almost tangible, like the prodigal son was home and all was well with the world.
There is a trust in this guy that he will bring us success, its difficult to put this into words. It was not the usual pre-season optomism but a warmth and belief, and even a sense that we will be more patient if early results do not go well...I guess the word I am looking for is faith!
I hope I am right and because of the above and a good away following I think the attendance on Saturday will not be far off 7000 on Saturday so I will go for 6805

With the feelgood factor at the club and GT's first game and a decent away following tbh we should be looking at 7500-8000.

I think there'll be around 6750. There are a lot of supporters still playing cricket at the moment, and also quite a lot of people are still away on holiday.

Holidays are a big factor. Anything above 6,000 is a decent crowd. Over 7,000 would be amazing.

I'd like to think with it being the first game of the season, the turner factor, the new signings and 1200 or so from Bradford that we could break 7000 despite holidays.
Maybe a bit too much of an ask though, so i'll go for 6902.

Pretty sure it will be around the 7,000 mark if Bradford bring more than 1,000.

With the optimism and feel good factor here, and the same at Bradford, I think we will see about 7100.

I would guess it will be around 6500 with it being the first game of the season and a big away following is to be expected.

I see no reason why we cant get 7,000+ on saturday given it being turners first proper game back as manager and the quality signings likely to be on show.Bradford should bring 800 odd easy??I was disapointed with their support last season wasnt it 500 they brought or something like that.
