Good signing that has cost the club nothing apart from wages - rated him highly under Taylor at Wycombe last time round in league2 - Welcome aboard Matt.

Welcome Matt, good to have some royalty on board.
I was just discussing with Clive and Jakey at the loggerheads last night how he could certainly do a job fo us, alongside an out-and-out striker.

think this will be a good signing. always looked good against us, mobile, decent height, a good replacement for hibbert. hopefully he'll show his league 2 experience and get 10-15 this season.

Great signing but I still want a recognised, good striker although he's a good signing I doubt he'll be that

Just checked him out on soccerbase and he is prolific in the FA and League Cups- averages a goal a game! 12 starts, 12 goals. Don't you just love statistics Welcome to the fold Mr Harrold

Good news, like others have said ive been impressed whenever i have seen him previously.
He isnt the type of striker that will go and get 25-30 goals a season but he will work hard and likes to be involved in alot of build up play.
Good age aswel, and has alot of experience at this level.
Happy with the signing.

couldn't be more unimpressed. what are we a rest home for useless homeless strikers? that brings our collection of these now to three! this type on signing bodes badly for the season ahead.

Good signing Always thought he made life difficult for defenders, and will score a few goals as well as assists.

Great signing!! Type of player we needed; scores goals, 6ft plus, keeps the ball up and can header. The only problem is he had a bad injury last season so might get another one. But think positive.
Now we need a fast winger to cross the ball into the box for harrold to header. We also need a center midfielder, I would want the one from Peterborough (TD).

As others have said, he is a name that seems to stick in the mind at this level and has always looked a decent player. A good signing.
Now for someone to provide the service..................

Good signing, but promotion winning? well that remains to be seen. For me next season is still dependant on the next attacking face we see come in. However, good luck, and welcome aboard Matt Harrold.

Christ knows what Broadbent is on about, but I suppose it would be impossible for the club to sign one player that everyone is happy with.
Welcome abroad Matt, good signing.

Matt will give you 100% and will run his heart out for the team and is unselfish but he cant score from open play.
In two seasons with us he managed 10 league goals from open play in 73 appearances.

Decent target man, hopefully the likes of Van den Brooek, Bradshaw & Robinson can play off him
Mr Broadbent I think you need to get in the real world if you think we can go and get the Grant Holts of the world every season
And for people disapointed in not bringing a proven 25 a goal season striker. We tried that with Cureton and it failed, because of the lack of service. For me thats one of the most important areas we need to get quality in

How old are you? Because I'm wondering why it is you think a division 2 club are going to be able to splash out on wow signings that you instantly recognise! Jesus. In my 23 + years of watching town, I can think of only a handful of strikers who we have signed who i had properly heard of when we signed them - Holt, and then ageing strikers winding down their careers like Wayne Clarke, Jemson or god forbid Cureton

Fantastic Signing Good in the air, I remember he scored against us at the Prostar in 08/09, a header from a corner, 10 goals in league one last season I can see him getting between maybe 13-17 goals. He's a very unselfish striker as well and likes to set up his team mates as well. He's a 100%er just like Hibbo. He should get the no.10 shirt next season. Graham Turner is doing fantastic in the transfer window so far couldn't be more unimpressed. what are we a rest home for useless homeless strikers? that brings our collection of these now to three! this type on signing bodes badly for the season ahead. Bloody hell are you ever happy? Weren't you complaining that we weren't signing any strikers when we signed the 3 defenders? I suppose you'd be the first person to get in a paddy when we go into admin for buying Grant Holt calibre signings every season.

OK OK guys!! Benefit of the doubt will be given. But would like a striker who scores for a start!! Yes am happy with Sharps, Sadler Raven - and that Hibbo has gone tbh. However, I would rate last season's Hibbo above Harrold Perhaps it was only me then who was bored stiff post February What about that Albert from Barnet, Rhodes who was with Brentford, Benson, Strevens - who is now at WW (replacing who I wonder in some way?) Robinson, - that is a wish list for a start - but accepted it might be dreaming :-) We were of course flashing £100K at Barnet in January weren't we - and that sum of money has not been spent yet - so someone truly in that bracket? Maybe, just maybe Tommy Bradshaw might give the exhilerating forwaed dimension which I crave. re may age - erm mid 50s ... so there is less time left for me to see some success (again!) than you young uns!!! Up the Town!!
