The Munto stuff stunk, but if it is as genuine as Ray Trew doing it for the fun and love, then far enough, I wouldn't complain if Roland was loaded and made us big spenders, so long as it's all secure

Ray Trew has a genuine love for Notts and an absolute top top bloke, has sold and is selling a number of his companies in order to free up his time to enjoy being the chairman and the money from them businesses he's sold on goes straight into the club, for example the new shirt sponsor is a previous business he owned. He is putting his own money into the club and in the long term creating business opportunities which benefit the club in long term such as the doing up the v.i.p suite and the meadow lane sports bar which is now open 7 days a week instead of previously being open almost solely on match days, supporters signed up to the "lifeline" which is effectively a support sponsorship donation has risen so that a quarter of all the fans which go to matches are signed up donating a minimum amount of £2 each week which brings into the club over 170k each year. We are in safe hands with Ray Trew

What happend to County? They used to be a decent club with decent fans who were proud of their heritage. Now they are a shell of a club who everyone in the lower league feels ill will to. The genuine fans must be horrified. On to the crux. Your new manager was the cheap option. Coterill is a smart lad who knows when to jump. Trew's love in with the fans is great! Him and his wife rule the messageboard and any dissenters will be shot by the admin. Very clever move by the Trew's. I take my hat off to him. On the subject of Mr and Mrs T. Just ask footy fans in Lincs what they think! Good luck next season lads. Please don't complain when the 7/8k dwindles to 4/5k for home games. The extra few thousand fans you picked last season will soon drop off when the harsh realities set in. As for Ben Burgess.... Could have been plying his trade here last season. Alas we plumped for a certain striker from Brentford.... At least you know you what his level is.

I personally don't believe for one minute Trew would have just picked the cheap option for the sake of it it would make no sense, all the money he has put into other aspects of the club its silly to compromise it all by employing a cheap manager. So far he's brought in 3 players who are well established in the league 1 and one player in Burch who has the potential to be, although you might mock Burgess his record isn't all that bad. As for Cotterill the main reason why he left was down to his wife not wanting to leave from down south, he never went back home during his 3/4 months in charge which is wife wasn't happy about as for the reason stated why he was interested in the Portsmouth rather then the Hull job.
for example last season for Blackpool he started 22 matches and came on as a sub 17 times, in that he scored 8 goals in 39 matches which = to just above 0.2 goals a game which in all fairness for a TARGET MAN in the championship isn't half bad.
I'm not one for complaining personally I preferred it when less people went at least I didn't get to the ground to find that someone nicked my jeffing seat, I'll still be here next season come what may next season.

Mr R A Trew's bank account, same place the 7 million pounds came from to clear debts and HMRC wind up petitions and taxes. Also the same place the refurbishments of the ground came from, new seating, re-painting of the stadia, money for total refurbishments to the the meadow lane sports bar, vip boxes, exec lounges, tea bars as well as a new scoreboard, better machinery and other equipment for the ground staff, upgrading the training facilities.
Here's just a quick example of what Trew's all about, a supporter asked Ray if he was able to donate a signed football towards a raffle for a junior football club in the area who were in need for some new football kit, he donated the football to the raffle and also paid for a full football kit for the team. Ray's made his millions and now winding down and giving something back.

I've asked it more than once but no reply, so, IS COTTERILL STILL YOUR MANAGER? Maybe he could see into the future, and realised you lot have,nt got one. KOPTHAT. XXX BB Come on old lad, now I know that Shrewsbury is an enclosed rural backwater as Kopthis was treated like Robinson Crusoe by the local country bumkins were fascinated with his tales of what the outside world is like but since Cotteril left man discovered fire, dinosaurs no longer rule the plains and horse and cart is no longer the favoured method of transport. Also Im reliably informed that dating agencies have been set up eradicating the need to club women over the head and dragging them into a cave Love Kopthis xXx Was this also the last time County made a profit, hence the reason you remember it so well.
