On Boxing day there will be a fans game (probably ASFC v Blue and Amber etc..) played at SCAT, meet at 10am for 10:30 Kick Off.
This will be the perfect chance for everyone to burn off all the chocolates, turkey, veg, sweets, christmas pud etc.... that they scoff down on Xmas day.
If you wish to play reply here and turn up on the day.
Only thing is - there wil be no changing rooms/shower facilites available at SCAT. Hopefully some of the Shrewsbury based lads will help out by letting others use their showers.
Last year the game was played in great spirits and enjoyed by all.

I have only played 11 a side once properly since Junior School
I was right back for Holy Cross Juniors A Team
I was then a centre forward / left midfielder / right midefielder in the Barnabas team that won the "National Christian Football Competition", and I still have the shield in my office at work, woo hoo!
Only problem is, i don't have a left foot!
I play five a side every week though!

There may well be people using His name in relation to my style and quality of play but I very much doubt it will be in a positive sense!

Mystic will almost certainly want to turn up and show his magical skills. Do you want the best referee outside the Premiership to put in an appearance? I'll waive my usual fee (penalties a speciality )

I will certainly be there, hoping to score goals a plenty. Me dad'll bring corner flags etc. I expect.
ps Does anyone remember my headed goal in this fixture last year?
"textbook - welshshrew"
Let's hope it happens again

Quality stuff so far lads
Who else is up for it?
And yes Murray I remember that header - we don't have score a lot of goals from corners!! Maybe STFC could learn a thing or two!

Depending on family stuff I may make it for a while to watch/cheer but no point in me playing unless you just want to block one goal with my gut

Don't worry about not having a left foot TBH,Gregor Rioch will only be glad to give you some tip's. Beat me to it, expect I was going to say" Dosen't stop Gregor" ;D On a serious note though you look at the number of so called Premiership players who only play the ball with one foot. It's a disgrace

I watched Soccer AM once, and they analysed how many times Juan Veron touched the ball with his left foot in 90 minutes. I think the stats were summit like 95% right foot touches and 5% left foot touches !! £70000 a week and he can't use his left foot

All footballers should be able to play with both feet. How can you be any good if you are only going to use one leg to stand on. Two footed players are more versatile, can turn the play in an instant and can play on either side of the field.
I coach young lads to play football at school and I am always harping on about practising with both feet in short passing, controlling the ball even shooting and long passes when they get their balance right.
I taught myself to play with both feet and now Mystic and his older brother Adam can do the same with good effect. It is a vital part of any footballers game.
